Ask any Bengali person, it was a very popular saying by parents and elders in our childhood. It's not to be taken in literal sense. It's a saying which means "will give a sound thrashing/beating".

No actual skinning is involved here, lol.

no! i guess u dont realise u are supporting a CRIME..

Love ur sense of humor. Mishti did a very bad thing, she should be shown the correct way. For some it is mar ke chamri utar dena chahiye. Being a Bengali I know when it is used and what is the meaning. It is literally hit so hard that you are skinned out.
But people do not have the humbleness to accept their thinking is not right. They will stand by that making excuses that it had different meaning.
Forum is divided first M vs N now M vs P. Any fault of M - one set is ready to hand her over to flesh trader. Any fault of P - one set ready to hit on her head.
I think more than Mishti s help person who is still on this brutal beating spree needs counselling or phsyco help.

When you're thrashed, your body will ache.

IDO: Yes, and please tell me no elder ever used that phrase for you when you were up to serious mischief in your childhood. We used to hear it all the time. Like "Ami eta korle maa mere chamra gutiye nebe" or "baba jante parle chhal chamra tule nebe". Literally everybody heard these stuff in childhood and nobody took them seriously. 😆

But yeah, we would definitely hurt after a good beating. 😭 Especially our backs.

And let me tell you, children are never traumatised by beatings when they know it's for a good reason. Children are not robots; they have enough instinct and intellect to tell the right from the wrong in basic matters.

Also, it is not possible to raise a child without ever raising hand even ONCE. I haven't met not heard of anybody (this includes young parents of today with little kids) who never hit their children even once. Kids routinely get beaten up even today; and they don't get traumatised because of it.

And please remember what Mishti has done is NOT normal child misbehaviour.

It is your school of thought. Children can be raised without raising hands and also without mar mar ke chamda utar dena chahiye. Yeah but if mothers are busy running after their own life then there is no other way. Their kids will turn out to be spoilt and moms have beat them blue and black. Anyway I think guiding kids is not a big deal. Did her mom told M what is the truth and what happened. Bad parenting example.

My children are 21 n 19 now. And I CAN PROUDLY SAY THAT I HV NEVER EVER RAISED MY HAND ON THEM. And touchwood, they hv grown up to be amazing human beings, where my friends n family gives my kids examples in their circle..

Point is beating is not required. TALKING IS. There is nothing we don't share. They share their gf-bf clashes with me n I guide them how to handle issues calmly...

Engaging in personal attacks shows that you don't have the maturity or intellect to engage in civil conversation.

And btw, aren't you the one who repeatedly calls Pari 'baby snake' even after so many people reprimanded you for it? Yeah, we all know who needs psychological help here.

Quit trolling please.

That's great to hear. But mothers as fortunate as you are comparatively rare.

No in my home, beating hardly happened. My parents were separated I grew up at my maternal grandparents home. My mom was single and working. I was handled with utmost care by my relatives because at that time separation was not common and every one used to protect me from social questions and exposure. They could have never thought of even speaking on high tone to me though I was quite naughty. My grand mom, mom, aunty all counselled me on all my pranks. Also they never stopped me from meeting my dad. When I grew up I used to stay with my dad because of studies. I understand this co parenting situation very well. What is shown in serials is far from reality.
