In national awards, there is blatant lobbying. In all the private awards, there is lobbying and appeasement.

Indira Gandhi declared bharat ratna to be given to herself. Lobbying takes place in almost every freaking award in this country.

Here atleast there is voting and people voted for him. I had never voted for any tv actor or actress in my entire life before but this show made me do it everywhere.

Every one in the popular category wins in the same way because of their die-hard fans who vote for their favorites in order to make them win. So, what's the whining about. It's not like this happened for the first time in the award history of the country.

Give them some time to adjust and accept the new reality and if it works then continue with the model.

Just because we have an option in Netflix that does not mean we should not try and improve things in the television world. We as a developing country who are progressing so fast deserve better than this.

Who r u to determine what is regressive and what is forward..all the sex content on Netflix and online is regressive for some people ...

Who r u to make trp aunties forcibly watch .

What in u r POV is regressive might not be regressive to others ..and what u watch might be regressive to them ..

Finally channels go by majority vs minority nothing can change it in market capitalistic theory

We r not stayingg in dictator ship or communist countries to make others FORCIBLY WATCH for 2 years

And in that so called 2 years experimental period are u going to pool money and give channels their expenses and if that 2 years period is a big flop are u going to reimburse their lost profits

Are you sure you know the meaning of regressive? It literally means something that takes us back and is opposed to progress. Are you seriously telling mes stuff like tantra, balck magic, dayan should not be put in the slot of regressive content? Are you aware of what happened to a family in Delhi recently that believed in shit like blackk magic and ended up committing mass suicide in the hope that they will not die and come back unharmed after hanging themselves? Should stuff like this be encouraged to be shown on tv channels and influencee impressionable minds? Women get killed in the rural areas of states like Rajashtan when some people term them as witches and when stuff like this is shown on TV, should it not be termed regressive? I am really appalled at your arguments. Not sure why you are so hell-bent on defending stuff that is only taking us back and offering nothing productive or progressive to the society.

So what lobbying is as bad as rigging blatantly .each casting 100 to 1000 votes ...

We r not crying for the first time ..I never gave importance to awards..and find actors who give too much importance to awards as hypocritic ..aamir is correct in this aspect

At least sometimes without lobbying u will get jury but in voting every time it's a comedy rigging

Just because people went through demonetization because they h ad no choice means it's poor implementation can't be talked about.

TV shows still are promoting a picture about women that is far from realityis not regressive. Multiple marriages and bride-groom swap is good.

What they show in TV on the name of entertainment is normal for people even when it is not. Manhandling, stalking, obsessive and abusive behavior, taunting of in-laws, a person is in-out villain wanting to kill at all cost and should not be pointed out.

I have seen teenage girls hailing when a guy threatens to rape a girl if she doesn't marry him and saying how exciting it is since he loves her so much.

On the name of surrogacy, they blatantly promoted the fear of EMA.

For their taste, EMA affair is progressive and divine even when it is moral digression.

Gone are the days when TV used to show real stories with struggle. Only sony shows seems to be doing it now with the new stories it has come up with. Star plus came with good stories last year. They don't show psychology to talk about which should be done considering it's the problem people are facing in reality today and so many things that need to be delved in.

Every second person in the country can say it is regressive. And the guy here didnot insult the audience, he pointed out the kind of content channel continues to show and blame it on audience for liking such content.

Daily soaps air in afternoon slot everywhere but we have them everytime. And it's fine if there is one show like that but literally all shows are like that. It's like we don't have creative people even when there is no dearth of them.

Going by your logic if one wants to show wife beating, rape, child po*nography and every other despicable thing in a positive light should be allowed to do it without a squeak from those who happen to watch it because the ones showing it may see it as progressive and not regressive 👏

And if you teach your 10 year old from the very beginning the meaning of consent and how it works when dealing with the other gender, he won't rape a 5 year old or anyone for that matter.

@varunni2014 this is what the shitfest of Indian tv shows have done. Made some people like yourself oblivious to what's happening. In a country with over a billion people, 30k meters are NOT accurate to dictate what people like to watch on TV.

showing things like a mother in law trying to kill her bahu in 1000s of different ways, a girl tolerating abuse from her husband, promoting black magic and other superstitions are only going to make people especially from rural areas fickle minded in their mentality. Entertainment does play a huge part in people's attitudes, thoughts and beliefs. If you think it doesn't, then your terribly mistaken. Go and check out Pakistani shows, Korean shows and Turkish dramas you will never see such pathetic and illogical content being served to the viewers.
