Chapter 92

The next couple days passed in a blink. Armaan & Rahul werevery eager to show their girls around Kasauli, so most of the trip was spent visiting various little nooks and corners of the little town and enjoying the weather. They did visit the normal touristy spots, pray at the temples and the church, but it was first and foremost, a tour of Armaan & Rahul's home. So,the most important places to see weren't the ones that people usually visited,but places that had some sort of meaning, and only to Armaan or Rahul.

There was so much to see, so much to know. Every place they visited had a story attached to it, no matter how silly. Like the tea stall where Armaan had spent most of his college days apart from the cafe, sipping tea, and unfortunately, flirting with girls (Riddhima had whacked Armaan hard when he'd proudly announced it). Rahul's favourite little hole in the wall restaurant that served the best pizza they'd ever had was also where he'd spent a lot of time with his few friends from college. Nikki had made Riddhima promise that no matter what, they'd go to this particular stationery shop that sold the quirkiest things, and so they went. And what a trip it was! They all went a little wild, buying anything and everything that pleased them, all of it silly and obnoxious and quirky, but still amazing. The owner seemed to remember Armaan as Nikki's best friend, and after he'd made a quick call to said best friend and let her chat with the owner, they'd even gotten a sweet discount, on top of stuff that was sent for Nikki, on the house. They also visited some other famous college hangouts which were milling with students and both Armaan & Rahul recounted winding tales of what they'd done there.

They visited the library that Rahul used to go to, to study. It was huge and regal, absolutely beautiful, and the others were in awe as Rahul showed them around. None of the workers from when Rahul used to frequent the library still worked there, but it was a great trip nevertheless with Rahul sharing lots of anecdotes.

Armaan & Riddhima even went to Armaan's old kickboxing/streetfight gym. Both of them had been skeptical about it at first, especially Armaan, but Riddhima had convinced him to go, using his own words against him from the day before. They would make new memories to rid them of the old ones. And, they did (after Arman teased Riddhima of being a line chor, like always). Armaan's former coach was really happy to see him, and even happier tofind out that his favourite student was finally settling down, even if he was a little disappointed that Armaan didn't box anymore. It had taken Armaan sometime to explain to the man concerned that kickboxing had been a way to project his anger at something because of all the shit in his life at the time, which he didn't need now because he was in a very happy place in life. Armaan felt a lot lighter after that visit.

But, even with all the sight-seeing and exploring, the girls didn't fail to remind Riddhima that she was going to get officially engaged soon. Apparently, Anjali and Nikki had made it their mission to plan the entire ceremony ASAP. They were constantly calling Muskaan about something or the other, and both Muskaan & Riddhima's phones were inundated with about a million messages each day, sharing pictures of clothes, decor, food. While it warmed Riddhima's heart that they were so excited about it, the three were starting to get on her nerves a little. And, apparently, Armaan wasn't free of their form of torture either. Since he was the groom, his opinion mattered too, or so Nikki said.

By the end of the day, Riddhima felt that they'd planned the entirety of her engagement. She'd definitely okayed a gorgeous lehenga that Anjy had sent her a picture of, and from what she knew, Armaan had agreed to wearing a very snazzy suit also (pictures of which weren't shared with her no matter how hard she'd begged because Nikki wanted Riddhima to experience it the first time on the day of the engagement). They'd settled on a banquet to hold the event at, even agreed on a tentative menu, and found adorable decor to go with the theme of their engagement. The guest list had been final since ages, way back from the first engagement. So, really, they were all set. Now, Armaan joked, all they needed was an actual date.

The quartet had dinner with Bi again, and talked her into accompanying them back to Mumbai for a few days, as well.

"Bi, please chaliye na humaare saath," Rahul broached the subject. Him & Armaan had talked about it and decided that they should spend some more time with her, which was impossible in Kasauli as they had jobs. But, with all the help she had over here, the cafe would be fine in her absence.

"Haan, Bi," Armaan added. "Abhi toh hum aaye. Aapke saath zyada time spend karne bhi nahi mila."

"Toh tum y se yahaan kuch d se din aur ruk jao na," Bi told the boys.

"Bi," Riddhima replied, "hum ruk jaate, lekin hospital mein humein aur chutti nahi mili hai."

"Haan, Bi," Rahul lamented. "Yeh 2 din bhi itni mushkil se mile hain."

"Agar humne aur chutti maangi toh Dr. Keerti toh humein naukri se hi nikaal degi," Muskaan added.

Armaan nodded in agreement. "Wohi toh, Bi. Hum aur nahi ruk sakte."

"Haan," Rahul said. "Isliye, aap chaliye na humaare saath."

"Please," Riddhima & Muskaan pleaded.

"Bi…" Riddhima said. "Sochiye na. Kitna mazaa aayega. Aap Nikki se bhi mil paoge. Aur meri aur Armaan ki sagai ki tayyari bhi toh karani hai," she tacked on at the end, knowing Bi wouldn't be able to resist once she mentioned the engagement.

"Haan!" Muskaan jumped in. "Sagai ki tayyari bhitoh hai. Hum aapke bina thodi karenge, Bi. Please! Chaliye na."

"Please, please, please, Bi!" Armaan & Rahul begged in unison, both of them catching hold of one of her hands.

"Lekin main…" Bi tried to say, but was cut off.

"Lekin wekin kuch nahi," Muskaan ordered. "Bi,please. Itna kya bhaav kha rahe ho, yaar? Chalo na humaare saath."

"Haan, Bi," Armaan whined. "Muski sahi keh rahi hai. Itna bhaav mat khao. Aap bas chalo humaare saath. Kabse main aapko wahaan bula raha hu, lekin phone pe toh aap meri baat taal dete ho. Ab toh main nahi maanunga. Aapko chalna hi padega."

"T se theek hai!" Bi finally relented. "Tum sab m se mujhe shanti se j se jeene nahi doge na, jab tak m se main m se maan nahi jaati?"

The four of them shook their heads in unison.

"Toh phir c se chalo m se Mumbai," Bi agreed. "Meri bhi h se holiday ho jaayegi. Aur iss a se Ammy pe toh mujhe bilkul bhi b se bharosa nahi hai. Pata nahi main nahi rahi toh s se sagai ki kaisi t se tayyari karega."

"Yay!!" The quartet cheered, pulling Bi into a four-way hug, laughing.

Later that night, Armaan & Riddhima were lounging in bed, talking about anything and everything.

"Pata hai, Basket, main bohot, bohot, bohot khush hu ki Bi humaare saath aane ke liye maan gayi," he said.

"Hmmm, jaanti hu," she replied, resting her head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Mujhe unki bohot tension hoti hai aajkal. Pata nahi apna dhyaan rakhti hai ya nahi. Pehle toh hamesha koi na koi hota tha. College ke bachchon mein se koi… jo Bi ka khayal rakhta tha. Lekin iss batch se… Bi ne kisi ke baare mein nahi bataya, warna hamesha mujhe batati hai," he told her.

"Shayad bhool gayi hongi, Armaan. Aur waise bhi… Bi akeli nahi hain. Chacha haina. Woh dono ek dusre ka achchi tarah khayal rakhte hain. Bi ne bataya mujhe," she reassured him.

"Hmmmm," Armaan muttered, still unconvinced.

"Lekin," Riddhima added. "Main soch rahi thi. Ab jab Bi Mumbai aa hi rahi hai, toh unhe ek baar Sanjeevani le chalenge. Ek full check up ho jaayega toh achcha rahega, nahi?"

Armaan looked at Riddhima, smiling brilliantly. "Yes! Yeh bohot achcha idea hai. Ek baar check up ho jaayega toh hi theek rahega. Kam sekam yeh toh pata chal jaayega ki Bi ki tabiyat sahi hai ya nahi."

"I know," she replied.

"Not bad, Basket," Armaan joked. "Mere saath rehke sach mein kaafi smart ho gayi ho."

"Armaan!" Riddhima cried, swatting his stomach. "Tum toh rehne hi do! Har cheez mein bekaar credit lete rehte ho."

"Oh, really?" He asked, turning to face her sideways and catching hold of her wrists.

"Really," Riddhima replied, shrugging.

Without any warning, he let go off her wrists and started tickling her, making her shriek.

"Armaan! Sto… St… stop it! Please!" She shouted.

"Nahi, nahi. Main toh bina baat credit leta hu na?" He asked rhetorically.

"Armaan!" Riddhima whined.

"Pehle bolo ki 'Armaan is the smartest, most intelligent person on the planet'," he ordered.

When Riddhima didn't respond, he started tickling harder.

"O… okay!" She finally relented. "Armaan is the smartest, most intelligent person on this planet! Happy?"

"Very," Armaan admitted, pulling back and lying sideways again.

Riddhima looked at him with exasperated fondness and shook her head. "Tum paagal ho."

"Tumhaare pyaar mein," he replied.

Riddhima laughed at his very standard reply to her statement. He replied the same way every time, but still, it made her just as happy as it had the first time he'd said it. Armaan was turning her into such a sap with all his cheesy lines.

Armaan stared at her, so beautiful in her happiness, and couldn't help himself. He bent and kissed her, soft and languid. Riddhima smiled into the kiss, making him grin as well. A few moments later, they pulled back. Riddhima hid her face in the crook of Armaan's neck, while he nuzzled her hair. They wrapped their arms around each other, tangling their legs together.

"I can't believe ki ab yeh vacation khatam," Armaan moaned. "Kal hum waapas Mumbai chale jaayenge. Aur phir wahi… hospital,rounds, patients."

"I know," Riddhima lamented.

"Pch… hum hamesha ke liye yahaan nahi reh sakte kya?" Armaan asked.

"Armaan…" Riddhima replied, exasperated.

"I know, I know. But socho. Kitna mazaa aata," he said.

Riddhima shook her head, not saying anything.

"Lekin kam se kam kuch toh achcha hoga waapas jaane ke baad," Armaan declared.

"Kya?" Riddhima asked.

"Pehle humaari engagement. Aur phir… shaadi," he answered, smiling dreamily.

Riddhima grinned widely, pulling back from her place in his neck to place a quick kiss to his chin.

Suddenly, going back wasn't as bad as it had been just a couple minutes ago. It wasn't bad at all. Yes, this beautiful vacation would get over, but it would mark the beginning of the rest of their lives together. And that…that was the best thing of all.

Hey guys! Long time no see! Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth, but exams and interviews and gahhhhhhhhh! Poocho mat. 

I know ki yeh chapter thoda short hai, and frankly, I don't feel it's up to the mark, but ab itne time baad kuch likha hai, toh thoda time lagega to get into the flow of things. I didn't want to make you guys wait more so uploaded this one even though I'm not completely happy with it. 

I hope that you people like it at least a little. Got some fun things planned for the next chapters, so you have something to look forward to. Hope y'all like em.

Sabne milkr Bi ko mana hi liya unk saath Mumbai chalne k lie...Aur Armaan to chahega hi ki uski life ki sabse badi khushi mein uski bi usk saath ho...AR scene was cute...Aisa lag raha hai AR se jldi Anji ko hai unki engagement ki...Nikki n Muski k saath milkr duty k saath saath AR ki engagement ki preparations kr rahi hai...

Hahahahahaha. Shaadi ki toh itni jaldi hai inn sabko jaise innki hi ho. Sirf Anjy nahi. Muski, Nikki, Champ, Rahul. Sabke sab ek hi nayya mein hai. Bas wait karo ab. Innka bas chale toh kal hi shaadi karade. :p
