Yes, he is definitely underrated in the music departmant..I think his movies are the only ones which has somewhat traditional music... So far he has wonderfully brought back Gujarati, Bengali and Maharashtrian folk songs, I would like to see him venture into traditional music of other areas as well like South..
Some gems like Laal Ishq, Ayaat, Ab tohe jane na doongi are seriously not recognized much, mostly bcoz he did not use them in movies... Binte Dil is my recent addiction.. It has that Arabic feel to it..We listen so much to dhikchik dhikchik these days, that his traditional songs are a welcome change..
Is it copied? I knew it was. When I first heard it, I thought that i heard it before but couldn't exactly point out the finger, where. Can you tell me the song it's copied from? Waise it's such a beautiful song and Meeting Mohan sang it so well.Originally posted by: ToujoursPur
He copied nainowale ne from.an old song...i remember that. Khalibali and malhari were very similar.
I really liked ghoomar and binte dil.I do not think he is over or under rated. He is rated exactly as he deserves.
