Yes, he is definitely underrated in the music departmant..I think his movies are the only ones which has somewhat traditional music... So far he has wonderfully brought back Gujarati, Bengali and Maharashtrian folk songs, I would like to see him venture into traditional music of other areas as well like South..
Some gems like Laal Ishq, Ayaat, Ab tohe jane na doongi are seriously not recognized much, mostly bcoz he did not use them in movies... Binte Dil is my recent addiction.. It has that Arabic feel to it..
We listen so much to dhikchik dhikchik these days, that his traditional songs are a welcome change..

His music is melodious and like a member here said, in this age of remixes, rap etc, SLB's music stands out for me.
I loved the entire album of Padmavat.

I had not watched Ram Leela for many years and after I did, I was blown away by the Lal Ishq song.

SLB is super talented

I really liked ghoomar and binte dil.

I do not think he is over or under rated. He is rated exactly as he deserves.

Is it copied? I knew it was. When I first heard it, I thought that i heard it before but couldn't exactly point out the finger, where. Can you tell me the song it's copied from? Waise it's such a beautiful song and Meeting Mohan sang it so well.
