It was that time of year again...the most exciting and festive season was just around the corner...And Aaditi as always was super excited.Christmas was a time where everyone celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, but Aaditi's family and friends had another reason to celebrate Christmas at a grand scale! Any guesses? Sahi pakhrey hain.. 25th December marked Aaditi's birthday pagle!! 😆😆😆
Things in the CC team had become slightly disorganised recently, or maybe should we say since Jot gave her official farewell and made way for two nikamme heads [Yuvika & Pooja] there was some hallaballu in the forum. And it was a no such different morning in the CC department; Arthy were pacing up and down the office while Appy watched her silently.
Arthy: "Why are things always lastminute.com here? Christmas is around the corner, we have so much to do and today, we get a message about secret santa. Are the Heads serious?"
Appy: "Will you stop pacing up and down, you'll give me a headache any second now." (Arthy stopped and glared at Appy) "Ok, look stop stressing, Simmy hai na? She'll sort it."Before Arthy would reply, Simmy entered with the empty hat!
Simmy: "Mission accomplished" (she said slouching in the chair and throwing her head back) "phew that was hard work"...(looking back at Arthy and Appy and waving the empty hat before them she continued...) "Secret Santa is covered - everyone has chosen a chit and they'll get a present tonight ahead of the Christmas party tomorrow! Happy now?"Arthy was relieved and nodded. They got back to discussing the final details for tomorrow's Christmas party and neither of them happened to realise the hat was not empty - a chit remained but had fallen onto the floor as Simmy was waving the hat about). Engrossed in their discussion, all three left without noticing the fallen chit.A few minutes later, a mysterious figure enters in the office, picks up the chit and then walks away. 😲
The next morning it was 25th December and all were enjoying Aaditi's Birthday cum Christmas Party. Aaditi, her family and friends (including her CC friends) were all dancing the night away - none were professional dancers but they did their best to pretend like they knew all the dance moves. After sometime, Yuvika took to the stage to announce it was time for secret santa. All gathered around the table where their the secret santa gifts lay and one by one they opened their gifts. Aaditi was the last one to open her secret santa gift - as she unwrapped the last bit, she threw the wrapping paper aside and turned the gift in her hands to examine what it was. Suddenly her eyes widened and mouth began shaping into a big O.😲
Aaditi: OMG! (she screamed!)Everyone panicked and ran near her wondering what had happened - their eyes moved towards her hands which held the gift and as realisation struck each of them, their expressions replicated that of Aaditi's. There in her hand was a photoframe of Arnav and Khushi which read "Happy Birthday Aaditi" and was autographed by Barun and Sanaya. 😲Judging by everyone's reactions, it was clear this gift was not given by any of the beings present at the party - so who was this secret santa that managed to make Aaditi's birthday so special?? This is a mystery we suspect won't be solved until next year! Until then, let us continue partying all night! Kyunke? Abhi to party shuru hue hai!
