Also,in this scene, SRK coming across as a clueless jerk is actually wonderfully displayed πŸ˜†..because it only makes Anjali's hurting more apparent.

Ikr...I literally wanted to hit on his head for being so clueless...πŸ˜†...Did he really think Anjali was getting emotional because of his luurve for Tina?😑 πŸ˜†

But yes...whatever the movie ended up becoming because of the over analysis paralysis...it will remain iconic for many reasons...

The way Tina is slowly absorbing how Anjali is leaving because of her..Rahul slowly showing realization that his best friend is actually leaving...and Anjali trying to deflect the actual issue on hand which is her heart being broken because she is in love with Rahul...yeah...

I must say, even though my feelings have changed over the past years for this film as well.I still feel this film has some of the best heartbreak scenes in recent times. Call me cheesy or whatever, but there is something about a lot of this film's scenes which are just very easy to relate to...which is perhaps why I always find myself going back to them. The characterizations of Rahul, Tina and Anjali although flawed, in their own way, are actually realistic as well...and I think because I have developed different perspectives on this film over time (as an adult), I still love it, but in other ways than when I was a kid..if that makes any sense?

I get you completely. I think the whole appeal of KKHH and even DDLJ and K3G is that fact that these movies are very simple. Its very one-toned compared to the multi dynamics we see today. All of them are so problematic in their own way but nostalgia trumps that. You are transported to a completely different era when you actually see these movies again.

Favourite scene has to be the one where SRK meets Anjali after 8 yrs. I remember whistling in the theatre and I was small 🀣

In K3G also it will be the one where Rahul meets his mom after 8 yrs.

I guess the reunion scenes just stand out for me. πŸ˜†

I agree. No character is all that "multi-layered" where you have to truly dig and dig and still hardly ever understand what the character's significance was. πŸ˜† It's truly the simplicity, but even with that, there's uniqueness in that simplicity.

I know we have had a gazillion discussions on KKHH in the past, but I guess it goes back to the film being a special one for many of us.

Not just these movies but I think even the audience were simple minded and not wannabe woke people dissecting every little thing to its death...

My favorite scene was that iconic train sequence where Tina realise Anjali love for Rahul.

And why do you guys dislike SRK character now?

The train scene, it felt like such justice that Rahul gets to lose Anjali even though he doesn't want her to go. Because he was a jerk to her.

And definitely the scene where Rahul arrives at the camp and the slow dropping of his baggage as his mouth forms into an 'O' seeing Anjali after so many yearsπŸ˜†
