Honestly, the reviews are way too harsh. Sushant was very likeable as the shy and rather saintly Mansoor, and I couldn't believe that this is Sara's debut. She's truly a natural, and I really have great hopes for her future movies. Yes, I do wish that we got more insight into say exactly why did Mukku's Father agree to her engagement and maybe a bit more footage to the impending crisis that was to occur; but overall, it was a beautiful movie with some haunting melodies that are still stuck in my head.

Anyways I am quite astonished with Taran 's tweet ...the film is nowhere close to his review...sad the way he has tried to pull the film down.
If one watches the video reviews of cine goers ...they are all positive.

since when people started taking him seriously? For him, Ready Dilwale Fan Tubelight JHMS etc are 4 star movies πŸ˜†

Kedarnath Has Fair Opening Day
Saturday 08 December 2018 11.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Kedarnath managed a fair opening day with collections in the 7-7.25 crore nett range. But its not really about the first day for this film but where it goes after the first day. It was a better than a Batti Gul Meter Chalu and similar to films like Raazi and Badhaai Ho though those films dad smaller releases..

It is actually the biggest opening of the Sushant Rajput beating the 6.30 crore nett of Shudh Desi Romance. this is not counting M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story as the driving force behind that film was not the stars but the cricketer himself. its going to about the growth over the weekend which should be there for the film but depends on what level. The regular 10-20% growth wil probably not be good enough for a sustained run at the box office.

The positive is that opening day keeps the film in with a chance as a love story with the sort of music this film could have registered much lower first day numbers. the opening day is the 16th highest of 2018 and below are the films places in positions 11-20.

Very encouraging collection. This forum used to bash movies & actors based on so called critics reviews. Tide has changed & people are now willing to believe their friends than so called critics. Good for cinema goers. Wish the team good luck. It will give SSR & Abhi some confidence. & congrats Sara for raving reviews. :)

My review :-

The movie is ok to good. The music is good with Kafirana and Sweetheart being memorable.

Sara Ali Khan! Wow! What a Confident Debut! πŸ‘ I couldn't help compare her to Amrita Singh's debut in Betaab (inevitable); where she played a spoilt brat here Sara plays an extrovert bubbly girl.

Sushant Singh Rajput - His character is more of the silent type, but he plays it so well.

Their chemistry is crackling.

The story is a simple one, had the potential to be better. The Hindu-Muslim angle was unnecessary, it could have been Pandit-Lower caste (but maybe it had already been tackled in Dhadak).

All in all, the movie is good in parts, strictly timepass. Go for SAK-SSR
