the dialogue
"PRALAY AAYEGA"

What does that mean??

thousands of people who died and thousands who got homeless because of this flood

and they actually added masala to such sensitive issue and connecting it with their FAKE LOVE STORY ??

DISGUSTING MAN !!!

^^ Truth!

Showing a natural disaster is one thing and riding on it to create some kinda love story is another thing. People went homeless because of the flood and were starving for food and shelter which was terrible and Bollywood wants to add all flower and fantasy to show it on screen?

Such an insult to people who suffered and came past it.

^^ But those are the not the reasons for the protest as per the article. It says the movie has insulted lord Kedarnath ( dont know how they know that) and they say they showed Muslims living in the area and no muslims live there apparently
Those are the reasons for the protest and not because there was a huge tragedy and they turned it into a romantic story.

But the protests are for both things
and YES!! I Agree with both

har cheez MANDIRO se hi kyu jodi ja rahi hai India me ??

why don't they make story of Somnath temple and how Shobha fought with Mahmud gajnavi who came to Loot that temple ??

inko bus farzi cheexe dikhani hai ... whatever they want to show .. hindu musilm whatever ,, show it ... but DON'T ADD such sensitive issues/HINDU TEMPLEs in your cheapo storylines

I am going by the link attached to the article. It makes no mention of the flood. It says muslims dont live there, and the movie shows muslims, thats one reason and the other is that Lord Kedarnath has been insulted, but no reason or explanation about any insult is given.

I dont understand what you meant by Mandiron se kyun shuru hota hai. What have they shown in this movie? That a Muslim man falls in love with a Hindu girl, and that he has the job of carrying people uphill to the temple, and they get caught in the floods and so on. What has this got to do with the sanctity of the temple? Or anything to do with the temple?

In fact the title is the only thing that ties it to the temple, and so yes maybe they should have called it Pralay or something and people wouldnt say things like Mandirs are getting whatever it is you wanted to say...I still dont get it...

The film is called Kedarnath, not Kedarnath mandir. How is it linking to the sanctity of the temple when it's about the town of Kedarnath and how people there braved the floods.
The state census of Kedarnath (2011-2018) states that there is a presence of muslim population though a very small number (0.33%). So the whole argument of the town not having muslim population at all is null and void.

How does SSR's char being muslim affect this story though? They wud have shown him a Hindu and story would have been same because flood part wont get changed, that's the base of the story.

Ye toh faltu ki publicity ke liye kiya hai otherwise it doesn't matter. They want controversy and then many leftist supporting them, writing open letter etc etc. I think people should ignore it just like these selfish pricks did. Flop hoke nikal jayegi. 2.0 ab bhi halls me hai.

That gives it the conflict right? Like why are there movies about upper and lower caste romances...to bring the conflict element in a love story...there are so many Hindu Muslim/ Upper caste Lower caste/ Rich Poor love stories, but suddenly its all a major issue...

To me it looks like a lot of reaching to make it an issue somehow...And its these silly protesters who give it all the publicity...no one else...look at Padmavat, and the noise they made over absolutely nothing

It's one thing to show a love story amid a natural disaster. Has been done before in Tum Mile,or famously in Titanic. But here they're showing the whole natural disaster came as a punishment for few people who didn't agree to a love story, n it killed so many people. That's unfair, insensitive n will also make public hate the lead characters. It's like if in Titanic Rose cursed her fiance when he jailed Jack ki wait you all will sink. N then iceberg hit. Thatd be very insensitive to the lives lost.

But Being enraged for showing Muslims live in Kedarnath is bigoted n stupid imo.
