In recent times, only Porus makers could keep their IP rights, rest all of them go to channels. And Porus makers showed the show in the way they wanted to & channel didn't interfere in that. SK Tiwary learned a lesson from Mahabharat experience & refused to give up IP rights of Porus to channel.In Mahabharat, SP had the IP rights but PH signed a clause that channel will not interfere with the script but Channel could always ask makers to extend the show. Show which was going to end in April was extended till August since SP force stretched it 3 times & makers had to agree to that. S K. Tiwary didn't consider the 4th extension & ended the show in August itself without dragging it any further. Channel forced extension, but makers had to suffer since quality was compromised, actors had to succumb to overacting & writer had to succumb to overwriting plots & tracks they didn't plan to show. And makers weren't happy with the dragging for no reason.One with IP rights control the quality & quantity of the content of the show. Most of the times, creators just create the content & leave IP rights to channel. This means, channel has full right to interfere with the content. Show can be shut down in middle if it's doesn't get good TRP & even force makers to extend it if they are. That's why a lot of shows are being dragged & have unbearable for years since they still manage to get TRPs. It has more to do with the channel than the makers itself. A lot of makers & PH are not willing to consider extension & interference in the script. They just want to give their shows a fair & finite run on TV. Cinevistaas, SK Tiwary is one of them.Besides they let channel win so many times, so why should they even consider going Voot.All this comes from someone on Quora who know working of TV industry quite well. She has explained why shows in India are dragged too much & story looks changed after certain time.Here, Arshad track was originally meant for 15 days but channel decided to extend it & writers had to do what channel wanted. Channel again interfered with celeb wedding & writers had to include that too. Then Harsh's death wasn't original plan, again the channel intervention.It's clear channel played with the show & makers decided to do the abrupt ending as a protest against channel. They wanted no further interference but channel still did.Udaan was brought back despite PH wanting to shut the show with closure, since channel didn't want it.But as HC said, if channel liked the show & was promoting it so heavily, then what the hell went wrong from channel's side. New shows are now airing on exact time slot while with BP they had been playing for a over a month.They could have waited for BB to end for new shows to begin. No doubt it was a good show, channel plans to cash it & its popularity on international market now, still such pathetic behavior with the viewers. The show created a buzz channel could have not imagined.Akriti asked good questions from him about show's abrupt ending & why everyone is so heartbroken about it because the real journey just started & HC answered it nicely.Never forgiving Rangu for snatching 50% of AdiYa from me. Akriti was so right about overdose bhoot-pret, pisaach stuff. HC answered it nicely that they are loosing essence of reality for the sake of being different.
