Why shouldn't NM play Shivaansh ?

Before I go ahead with my post, let me make myself very clear.

I am a Shivika/Narbhi fan and I always wanted IB to end on a happy note with Shivika and Narbhi.

Because of the recent happenings in the show, I know most of the fans are upset and unhappy.

This is not a bashing post nor putting down any one's efforts. I am only putting down my points about why NM choosing to play Shivaansh is being at receiving end of blame and bash for no fault of his.

I just wanted to ask every one who blame/bash him, why shouldn't NM choose to play Shivaansh ? Give me genuine reasons !

And how does he choosing to play Shivaansh is an insult to Shivika or for that matter Shivaay and Annika ?

Leap is a decision taken by channel and PH together and NM was given an option to play lead after leap. He choose to play the new character. Now what is wrong in that ?

But then he has been bashed and blamed and what not for this decision. Which is clearly a professional decision being an actor. If not Shivaansh, he would have played another character in another show.

If NM didn't agree, then some one else would have played Shivaansh. There were already rumours that Vikram was approached to play lead after leap.

The show was end in December...thats what I gathered from the IVs of the cast and also from Raj and Missy(BizAsia) posts ..both NM/SC and Jankee were to go to AVTA this year.

But then channel choose to extend IB and Gul and channel decided to go ahead with leap...and NM choose to stay back and hence not attending AVTA this year !

How in all these things NM is to be blamed ?

NM posted an Adieu words for Shivaay on his IG and again he is blamed . Did he any where in the post mentioned that he is the one who is responsible for IB success ? Did he anywhere take the entire credit single handedly for the show ?

He and SC are two people right from the beginning of the show, have always credited entire team, cast, PH, crew, technicians and even the spot boys including the fans... Then how come today suddenly he is been blamed for taking the entire credit for the success ?

When a leap happens, normally in any TV show, only one of the leads will be retained to be played by either ML/FL as daughter or son of the original couple. So either it was NM or SC who could be asked to play after leap. Channel/PH decided to go with a son of Shivika and hence NM was given option. if they would have decided to go with Daughter, then SC would have been given option.

In all these things, I surely cannot understand what is NM's fault ?

Let me be clear, if the roles of SC and NM were reversed and if SC was to be bashed if she opted to stay back after leap if PH went for daughter of Shivika, then I would have posted the same thing even for SC.

Shivaay, Annika & Shivika are characters that are loved for being flawed and the absolute awesome journey that they had...

And NM-SC played these flawed characters to perfection and we fell in love with them...

Narbhi chemistry is one of the rare kind and thats what made Shivika even more lovable.

And both Shivaay and Annika will not be there after leap.

When SC posted her good bye video as Annika, I had tears .. It was emotional and surreal to me...

When NM posted his good bye post for Shivaay, I felt the same...

Though I knew that Shivika are no more when the news came out, still reading those posts/videos made me emotional...

I am going to miss them...and they will always be special to me...

Please don't make this into an instigating post or bashing post.

Any fan who wants to share his/her thoughts without bashing are welcome !

P.S. Haters/bashers please stay away !

This post will come in bits and pieces as I put my thoughts down in words that I can understand and for those who want to read it. So pls bear with me.

What got the fans and most of us worked up is that the makers thought Shivaka wasn't working. 😲 . This was a jaw dropping moment for me. Even with the most hair brain story arcs the cat lady came up with before redux. I always knew they would be there to save the crap they were dishing out. And they were quite a few.

So with the producer coming out saying Shivika wasn't working. Surbhi refusing to play a pregnant mother and that too for 2 weeks . This got most of us emotional, angry, hurt and so on.

I agree Surbhi s video was heartbreaking to watch. Still hurts thinking about it.

And then all of us know what went on at the other tag. When the fans were fighting the ph were counter acting with releasing those videos.
Nakuul I felt should have released his good bye message before all the videos came out. It would have made an impact on me. I did not feel a thing reading it.

We all agree Ishqbaaz was always NMs swan song. And for the makers to take him on for season 2/leap. (Whatever they are calling it) was the right thing to do.

Now if Surbhi was given a chance to stay back, would she have got as much of the hate as NMs getting now.

To conclude I thank god the Ph didn't come up with a segment interviewing Sc asking her questions
Did they chuck her out or did she leave on her own.

They did that with the actor from their old show. That was one embarrassing and pathetic interview.

There might be more to come. But whatever is written is my opinion and I'm sticking to it

Ps: Now this makes me sad to write this. What ever s*%# they are churning out now. I wish they would end it. I cannot connect with any of the characters even Nm and Sc.

PPs. I will Watch Ishqbaaz. Not because of Nm or whoever they bring in . But if the story is not up to par its curtains Ishqbaaz for me

Don't be sad, love - this hate was inevitable. Would just recommend that you tune it all out. I remember something similar happened during IPK ending, too. In fact, any show that ends badly ultimately goes through the leads' fans fighting. It IS ridiculous, though, because you don't quit your day job just because your coworker is leaving/was fired - that's just not practical.

I read NM's post and it seemed more of a homage to his own journey as SSO instead of anything about the show as a whole. Which is fine. He's only bidding adieu to the character, afterall. I do understand the fans' sentiments because ShivIka were hardly mentioned but I think it was just him looking back on his own journey.

In all honesty, I don't think NM or SC care about the hate, though they do appreciate the love. Suggest you do the same <3 We can only wish for the best for both our beautiful leads and hope they achieve greater heights. Might be a bit biased but after the way she was treated, I hope SC becomes a star in her own right.

Lol for me the real tragedy in all this is how everyone starting from Gul is busy twisting the actual topic. Everyone is busy trying to explain away this mess as "oh, leaps happen all the time. Deal with it. Or "haaye my fav is being bashed/victimized or "NM ho ya SC ho, how does it matter if only one is retained. Deal with it

Again, this misses the basic point of exactly why IB or Shivika were not like every typical show where leads and stories are interchangeable. The actors in question had a unique dynamic which it now seems they also don't recognize and seem to think is so easy to move on from and continue doing the same old cliched shit on TV

I never watched anything of NM's before this and I'm not sure how much I will in the future. He only made a mark as Shivaay and SC had a once in a lifetime role as Anika. It was always obvious it all had to end one day. But the way it's ending after it was so painstakingly built up into something of substance for so long. Yeah that deffo leaves one with a sense of disillusionment towards the actors as well who also don't seem to get what the fans are actually hurt about and are oh so keen to jump to the next round of Gul shit. Lol ah well.

Everyone has to move on, grow, evolve. But how you close one chapter before moving to the next does stay with ppl. The actors may find it easy to move on in the blink of an eye as if every character they play will be as memorable. Lol but the audience will take its time. Everyone should be allowed their own space.

I'm belatedly realizing I forgot to respond to the main title of this post...LOL

Dunno about others but I myself am not saying that NM SHOULDN'T or CAN'T play Shivaansh ya jo bhi random child AU Shivika have produced...lol...he is free to do whatever he wants...his career, his choice.

Me personally, I just feel it's going to taint his legacy as Shivaay...that is the role that made him stand out...a smart person would know at what point to wrap up something to let it remain iconic...playing a watered down lame copy/paste version of the same which we all know is exactly how it's going to be given how Gul has launched her other recent attempts of milking brands and spin-offs...yeah that's just likely not going to serve him well.

Maybe his die hard fans find it easier to wipe their memories of Shivaay and happily embrace the next iteration of a Gul hero...lol I don't...Shivaay is the only one I made time for in Gul land and it was for a reason because he was different...NM himself couldn't live up to a watered down version of Shivaay in AU toh aage toh rab hi raakha.

This whole thing is a giant mess but yeah it's deffo a let down that these actors who were the only reason we stuck with a SUPER shitty storyline for so long...they also more or less want to flick away Shivika in the blink of an eye and move on to playing the next lame Gul role overnight...Gul has always been disrespectful so one doesn't expect any better from her...but the actors can handle this better IMO.

What continues to grate on me is that barely a month back, the actors were more than happy to sing odes to Shivika and now just cuz the PH has thrust this decision on them overnight, why are we the fans also expected to play along? We aren't exactly getting PAID in all this like the actors are, are we? lol if you pay me to wipe my memory so easily then sure, maybe I could do it just as easily as these guys seem to all be able to do...but that's not the case.

All I wish for is that if not Gul and her pathetic gang, atleast the actors stop expecting the fans to overnight abandon the characters they had so much attachment to and rush to embrace whatever random half-baked shit is coming up. Zabardasti hai kya?

I have genuine reasons Rohini 😆.Gul's statement "Shivika is not working.Shivika didn't get trps" still ringing like a bell in my ears😆.She openly insulted the hardwork and effort NM-SC has been putting all these 2.7 yrs and wiped it off in a single statement so easily.Even after all this he is continuing means he himself doesn't value his worth ofcourse like any other actors.Ofcourse SC is not less,she is quite content and supporting the leap😆.Do they Deserve this?😆Do we deserve this?😆I think they deserve much better PH.He saw SC chucked out by Gul.What garentee it doesnt happen to him in future by Gul?😆

After catlady turning into show runner,i think he should be realised by now how the leap would be😆.He should be realised by now both NM-SC combined made this show succesful.And when the other half will not be there and when the script writer will be the same,he should be realised by now it is not worth taking risk😆.Then on what basis he is continuing i dont know.If it is only for money or career or challenge its his choice.But wouldn't he get good offers than this?😆.

He didnt get credits for the success of the show from the PH i mean based on above guls statement😆.She is just using him.On otherside by going against millions of fan's wish INDIR ECTLY he is loosing most of the fan's support too😆.So he looks dumb to me to accept this offer from Gul😆.It doesnt take one minute by Gul to put entire blame on him if the leap would not succeed.😆

And regarding the fans bashing,i dont support it but at the same time i could understand where they are coming from and idk why i am not getting instigated seeing the bashing but i am laughing looking at how we all reached here😆.

Yesterday i saw a funny tweet "See Nakuul didnt post about Shivaansh and leap in his good bye post.I am proud of him for indirectly supporting SC".I replied genuinely a fact "Picture abhi baki hai,he will soon post when leap promotion starts"I had no any intentions against him while replying,i just stated the fact.In return i got the reply "He is quite professional and you shut the f**k up and Surbhi is not necessary for Nakuul"..I was laughing at their stupidity & delusion 🤣 where the hell i even bashed him?😆 and now idk how many chamelis i get here from NM fans😆.

Actors are happily chilling out there.SC fans keep on fighting for gender equality and justice 🤣when she herself is busy supporting the leap.Whereas NM fans busy in fighting and defending him as if he cares about the bashing😆.Ofcourse bashing is done by some SC fans 😆.Bechare fans are the one actual victims here fighting for these two.So i am feeling bad for fans more than anyone😆.Not talking about you Rohini,generally speaking about all the groups of fans which divided recently and going through so much😆.Kya din aagaye Shivaay vs Anika turned into NM vs SC😆.

I think more than who is playing Shivvansh, the treatment makers gave to SC and fans matters more here. From last 2 promos SC was completely thrown out and then Gul ji finally tried to put whole blame on her for the leap is issue. She really used filthy language against fans that is not acceptable at all.

I am neither a fan of the couples nor a fan of the characters in this show. But I would like to write my common opinion in this post.

Normally the addicted fans to a couple can never accept the different boy or girl to pair with another one immediately. I also felt the same for my favorite couple of another show. At the same time they are only a group of people. If the story and the scenes will be attracted by the other fans including the new viewers , they will watch it. I think the makers of the leap show are targeting those people.

I heard that this show script was appreciated by the people at the beginning. I think that story was also narrated by the present writer. So there may be a chance her upcoming scripts can be accepted by the people. No one can predict the results too early.

I appreciate NM. He took the decision boldly and wisely. Nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity. Tomorrow is not in our hands. Today only is the God's gift for us. So his decision is perfectly fine in this competitive world.

PS. Just now I read NM's message. It is a good write up. Very matured one.

I appreciate professional decision of actors, but killing a couples who were soul of IB for professionalism so that a new season can be made is not acceptable. There should be a limit of professionalism also. Fans are not fool. Producer ji is declaring that there should be a logical ending for super six of IB. From RU to AU and then no return to RU and killing everyboduy in AU. Is it logical ending? Do makers feel fans are stupid to accept this logical ending.

If rumors are too be belived he is earning more than one lakh for one day. How long it took him to grab another show after the first one? His expectations would have been low back then but now he is bigger star. If it took him so long to choose the second show how long will it take to now choose a new one?

Considering the fact that like any other star he too want to do something that showcase ur talent and i dont want to take away the credit of anyone but ishqbaaaz was a male oriented show based on shivaay and his love life that includes shivika. In this female oriented industry he get to play lead in a male oriented show what better can u ask for?

Now the fans that r bashing him were never actually the fans. I m hurt too, i invested my time in this show too like anyother fan. I read sleep wakeup talking about ishqbaaaz and it makes me cry that i wont be seeing this family again. But i respect the decision he took. They know how the industry work better than us and they know what they expect from life. So i respect the decision he took.
