Guys, this is gonna be a short story on DIRA.
First update of this changed version of DIRA's story has many common things with the real story of PPK and RLHN. Kindle bear with repeated portions of the story and loopholes, if any. (Plz note tha t I DONT SUPPORT CHILD MARRIAGE). THIS IS A FICTIONAL STORY..
UPDATE 1
Maan Harshwardhan Singh (owner of Maan Singh Heritage Group of Hotels), his wife Padma Singh and son Ratan Maan Singh go to Bikaner to attend a marriage.
There, they meet Diya, 18 year-old daughter of Sajjan Singh. Maan Harshwardhan Singh had heard a lot about Diya's strength and bravery and he got to witness Diya's talent and capabilities personally, in Bikaner.
Also, he was very much impressed by her kind nature. He was very happy to see Diya all grown up. He remembers the day when he had saved her life, when she was just 10 years old. Diya too has great respect for Maan Harshwardhan Singh, not just bcoz he had saved her life, also bcoz he is very down to earth person, instead of being Datahukum of Surajgadh.
Unfortunately, one day in Bikaner, on the way to a temple, Maan Harshwardhan Singh and his family are attacked. They have had similar attacks in past. Attacker was thought to be someone from their own family, someone who wanted to be the owner of Maan Singh Heritage Group of Hotels and rest of Maan Harshwardhan Singh's property.
During this attack, both Maan Harshwardhan Singh and his wife are severely injured. Ratan escapes the attack, as he was in another car with Diya. Dying Maan Singh and his wife ask Diya if she can fulfill their last wish to protect their son lifelong, by marrying him. Diya fulfills their wish by vowing to take the responsibility of Ratan. As wished by Maan Harshvardhan Singh on his death bed, Diya marries Ratan.
Both Ratan and Diya shared a very beautiful and innocent bond of friendship since the time they first met. Ratan had always liked Diya. She was just like an angel to him. He was totally smitten by her beauty, the very first time he saw her. He was so impressed by her always-so-caring nature.
After marriage, their bond was becoming more strong and deep with every passing month. Diya had also accepted her fate and her marriage with Ratan.
Attacks were now on Ratan and Diya was doing her best to protect Ratan. But somehow, assassins were always able to get out of Diya's hands, everytime.
Now, Diya was more worried about Ratan's safety, than catching the attackers. She knew that someone from the family is behind his wealth and property and he or she wants to kill Ratan.
Due to increasing attacks on Ratan, Diya thinks of sending him away from family members and Kesar Mahal, to a secret place, out of the country. She decides to send him to London for his further studies and also to keep him safe from the attackers, as he is her husband now and the only the heir to the Rajput throne. Ratan however doesnt want to go. He wants to stay with Diya.
Ratan- Diya, hum kahin nahin jaayenge.. Aapse dur..
Diya- Ratan, plz aapko samajhna hoga.. Aap ki jaan ko yahan khatra hai.. Aur hum yeh kabhi nahin chaahenge ki, aap par kabhi bhi, koi bhi aanch aaye.. Iske liye, aapko yahan se jaana hoga.. Aap wahan par mann laga kar padhaayi kariyega, aur tab tak hum yahan sab sambhaal lenge.. Aur agar kaalkaa maa ne chaaha, to iss beech, hum uss dushman ko bhi pakad lenge, jo aap par yun baar baarhamlaa kar raha hai..
Ratan- Par Diya, main aapke paas hi rehna chahta hun.. Aapke alaawa ab aur kaun hai, jo sach mein mera hai, jo mera sahaara hai, jispar main pura bharosa kar sakun.
Diya- Ratan, aap humse dur nahin jaa rahen, aap to humesha humari yaadon mein honge, humaare mann mein honge..Aur jab aap waapis yahan aayenge, hum aapko, yahin aapka intzaar karte hue milenge. I promise..
Ratan- Diya, par wahan par aap mujhse milne to aati rahengi, na?
Diya- nahin Ratan, agar hum wahan aapse milne aayenge, to humaare dushman ko kisi na kisi tarah, aapke secret place ka bhi pataa cha jaayega, aur fir humara yeh sara plan hi fail ho jaayega, jo hum kabhi nahin chaahenge.. Aur isiliye, hum nahin chahte ki, iss dauraan, aap bhi yahan humse milne aayen..
Ratan- Par Diya..
Diya- Nahin Ratan, hume promise kijeeye ki aap humaari baat maanenge.. Waada kijeeye humse..
Ratan- Diya, Aapko pata hai ki, main aapko kabhi manaa nahin kar sakta.. Theek hai, main promise karta hun ki aapki yeh baat maanunga. Par agar, iss beech yahan aapko kuch ho gayaa to?
Diya- Hum aapse waada karte hain ki, hum apna pura khyaal rakhenge.. Promise.. Ab theek hai?
Ratan- ok. Diya, jab main waapis yahan aaun, to aap yahan mera intzaar kar rahin hongi na?
Diya (her eyes are filled with tears now) - haan, Ratan.. Hume har par aapka intzaar rahegaa.. Bas aap wahan apna khyaal rakhiyegaa..
Ratan- Main apna khyaal rakhunga, Diya.. Aap mujhse milne to nahin aa sakti, par aap apni pictures mujhe bhejti rahiyega..
Diya- Nahin, Ratan.. wahan aap, bas apni padhaayi par dhyaan deejiyega.. Hum aapko yahan waapis aakar hi milenge..
Ratan- par photos bhejne mein kya buraayi hai?
Diya- Theek hai, par sirf ek photo ek saal mein, woh bhi sirf aapke birthday par.. Theek hai?
Ratan- Theek hai.. Diya, kya main abhi, aapse saath ek selfie le sakta hun?
Diya- ok.. Ratan takes out his mobile phone and clicks a selfie.
Ratan- Diya, iss picture ko main humesha apne room mein, sabse khaas jagah par rakhunga.. Aur roz iss-se baaten karunga..
Diya smiles and says- Theek hai, Ratan.. Ab aap jaane ki taiyaari kijeeye..
Ratan gets ready to go. Before leaving, he assures Diya that he will not come back till he finishes his studies. By that time (as planned by Diya), Ratan will be 21 years old and he will be old enough to take over the Maan Singh Heritage Group of Hotels and as Datahukum of Surajgadh after the Rajtilak. Ratan leaves for London and nobody in the kesar mehal is aware of his whereabouts.
Meanwhile Diya is taking care of Maan Singh Heritage Group of Hotels until Ratan returns. There had been many attempts to torture Diya so that she reveals the details of Ratan. But she never bowed down in any situation. She had appointed officials of a very experienced detective agency to keep her updated on Ratan's well being in London. She never spoke to Ratan over phone, instead she had asked him to send the list of the things (he needs) thru the agent. Every month, she will send all the things, Ratan will mention in the letter. This had been going on for years now.. On Ratan's birthday every year, Diya will send him fabulous gifts, every boy of his age will desire of. Apart from this, she will send one of her recent pictures, along with the gifts. However thru his letters, Ratan had expressed his desire to meet her atleast once, but Diya never agreed for this, as she wud never want to take any chances which will compromise Ratan's safety. Everytime, Diya said No' for their meeting, Ratan used to feel really very sad. He used to miss her a lot.. She was always in his mind. He had placed that selfie pic (he had taken just before leaving kesar mahal) near the dressing table in his room. Daily, he will sit in front of the dressing table and speak his heart out to Diya's picture, as she was the only one who truly cared for him, whom he cud blindly trust and whom he cud believe.
Ratan had never hidden the fact from his frens in London that he was married and his frens used to tease him a lot for this. With the change of place, his surroundings and modern life style of London, Ratan's personality had also changed.
He became smarter, more modern and intelligent with every passing year. However Fren's teasing about his marriage never stopped.
There in Surajgadh, Diya had been taking care of Kesar mahal and Maan Singh Heritage Group of Hotels very well. She was now 30 years old. Yash had been her support all this while. Yash was the only person from the family, Diya had trusted. He was her 2nd best friend, first was definitely Ratan. Even though, Diya used to share most of her ideas and views, but she never shared Ratan's whereabout with him. Yash knew that very often, Diya sends few things to Ratan, but Yash didn't know that Ratan was in London. Neither Diya told Yash this, nor Yash dared asking it, Ever..., not even out of his curiosity. Yash always respected Diya and her decisions.
One day Yash finds Diya in her office and she was looking very upset. Yash asked wat's bothering her so much. Diya said that she is angry with herself, bcoz she had not been able to catch the attacker till now. Ratan's 21st birthday was just a month away. She had to do something to solve this mystery soon. Both of them sit together and after lot of discussions, they make a plan.
(Next part, we hav seen in serial). She informs everyone in the family that Ratan is coming back and they will all have Pooja followed by a grand celebration, tomorrow night. This will be followed by Ratan's Rajtilak the next morning. The real attacker, Priya (Yash's mom) and her husband Raghu, are happy to know this (Guys Kaakimassa is made innocent in this FF, as I want to finish this attackers' drama soon and start with Dira's story asap). Everything goes as planned by Diya and Yash. Next day in evening, Diya tell everyone that Ratan has arrived and will be coming directly to the main garden area for the Pooj and celebration. Priya and Raghu are surprised to know that how come Ratan has already reached Kesar mahal. They know that Diya is very shrewd and intelligent and she wud have hidden Ratan from them and managed to bring him to Kesar mahal without anyone's knowledge. They had actually planned to attack Ratan at the airport itself and this plan had failed bcoz of Diya. Next, they plan to kill him in the night when Ratan arrives for the Pooja. Priya takes Kaakimasaa along with her and go to Diya. She insists on meeting Ratan before pooja, but Diya doesn't agree for this and ask them to wait.
Function starts and guests start coming over. Diya reminisces her promise she had given to her Father in law to protect Ratan. Whole family including Priya and Raghu, is waiting for Ratan. Pooja starts but Ratan is nowhere to be seen. Priya get angry as she is fed up waiting all these years, for Ratan. She goes to Diya and asks her to call Ratan. Diya points to First floor's gallary's window where Ratan is standing. Priya signals her team mates to go and attack Ratan. Attackers silently walk away and head towards first floor. Everything was going as was planned by Diya. Yash is waiting for the attacker at the first floor. Diya is also heading to first floor gallery. As three attackers enter the gallery, Yash and Diya catch all of them. One of the attacker pushes Diya back and starts running so as to escape. But Diya catches him again. During the fight, attacker shoots and this injures Diya's arm. Yash comes to her rescue. Rest of the police team arrives and they catch hold of all the attackers. When asked, attackers reveal that it was Priya and Raghu Singh who had ordered them to attack and kill Ratan. Everyone, esp Yash, is surprised to know this truth. Later everybody gets to know that Ratan hasn't come back and it was a just an effigy in First floor gallery. Ratan is yet come back to India. Yash is very upset and heartbroken to know the truth of his parents. His parents try to make him understand that they did this, just for him, but Yash doesnt buy this explanation. Both are sent to jail. Diya asks Yash to stay strong and tells him that rest of the family is with him. All family members thank Diya for her endless efforts to keep Ratan safe and to find Ratan's attackers and assassins of Maan Harshwardhan Singh and Padma Singh.
Now there were only 7 days left for Ratan's 21st Birthday. In the morning, Yash finds Diya looking at Ratan's picture.
Yash- Diya baisaa, aap Ratan kaakusaa ko miss kar rahi hain?
Diya- Haan yash banna.. Aaj hume unki bahut yaad aa rahi hai.. Shayad isliye ki unka janamdin paas aa raha hai.. Aur dekhiye na yeh picture, Ratan kitne bade ho gayen hain.. Bilkul ek prince ki tarah lag rahen hain..
Yash- Woh to hai.. Aakhir kaakusaa kiske hain?
Diya- kya?
Yash- Hum mazaak kar rahen hain.. Ab raajputi khoon jo unki ragon mein daudta hain, to handsome dikhna to unko baaki aur kai khoobiyon mein se ek hai..
Diya- Haan.. handsome to bahut lag rahen hai Ratan..
Yash- Kahin aapka dil to nahin chura liya humaare kaakusaa ne...?
Diya- humaara dil to humne, 12 saal pehle hi unke naam kar diya tha, Yash banna.. Ab to bas unse milne ki khwahish hai..
Yash- To aap aisa kyu nahin karti, aap hi london cheli jaaiye unko lene.. Waise bhi bas 1-2 din mein, unki saari padhaai puri hone waali hai, aur woh waapis aane hi waale hain.. Kyu na aap hi wahan jaake, unko surprise Karen aur unhe saath waapis bhi le aayen..
Diya- haan, yash banna.. yeh achcha idea hai.. Hum aaj raat ki hi flight book karwa lete hain .. Unhone kai baar humse milne ka poocha tha, par har-baar hum unko manaa kar diya karte they.. Par ab sab theek hain yahan, ab unpar bhi koi khatra nahin.. To kyun na hum wahan milkar, unhe surprise karen.. Theek hai na? Woh khush to honge na, hume mil kar, yash banna?
Yash- Mera yakeen maaniye, woh itne saalon baad aapse milkar, bahut khush honge...
Diya- Kaash aisa hi ho.. Pata hai, yash banaa, in 12 saalon mein, humne unko kitna miss kiya hai... Unki hasee, unka bholapan, unka har pal humare liye concern.. Yash banna, hum unke liye bahut important they..
Yash- aur ab bhi, aap hi unke liye sabse important hongi, hume pura bharosa hai..
Diya- Pata nahin, yash banna.. Wahan London jaake, kahin woh badal na gayen ho? Wahan ke maahaul ne, wahan ki soch ne, kahin unko hi na badal diya ho?
Yash- diya baisaa, aap aisa kyun soch rahin hain? Aisa kuch nahin hua hoga? Ho sakta hai ki thoda bahut unki personality mein, unki soch me change aaya ho, Par unka mann, unka dil kabhi nahin badlega.. aap dekh lijiyega..
Diya - hum bhi aaisa hi soch rahen hain.. Aur kaalka maa se prarthana karte hain, ki humaare ratan ka dil waisa hi ho, jaisa 12 saal pehle tha..
Yash- chaliye bataaiye hume,ki aapne iss bar unke birthday ke liye kya gift socha hai?
Diya- har baar, Ratan hi hume letter mein likhkar dete hain, ki unke kya chaahiye.. Par iss baar hume letter ki zaroorat nahin hai.. Iss baar hum khud unse pooch lenge ki unhe kya chaahiye..Waise, shayad ek do din mein, unka letter aata bhi hoga.. Chaliye, koi nahin, hum khud unse hi pooch lenge..
Yash-Waise, ek baat poochun, aap nervous to nahin ho rahin na, unse milne ko lekar.. diya baisa..
Diya- Yash banna.. Sach bataayen to, hum nervous hain.. Par uss-se zyada, hum bahut khush bhi hain.. Itne saalon baad, aamne saamne Ratan se milne ke liye.. Humaare pati se milne ke liye... Har karwa chauth par, unki lambi umar ki kaamna karne ke saath, Maa parvati se, hum unko apne saamne, apne paas paane ki bhi kaamna karte they.. Ab jaake, humari woh tamanna puri hogi... Aur yeh khushi, itni hain ki, hume zameen par paanv nahi rakhne de rahi, yash banna.. Hum bahut, bahut, bahut khush hain, yash banna.. Hum bahut khush hain... Her eyes are filled with tears of joy..
Yash- chaliye, apni khushi ko thoda kaabu mein rakhiye, aur jaane ki taiyaari kijiye.. kisi cheez ki help chaahiye to hume bataaiye..
Diya- Yash banna., aap jaise sachche dost ki help, to hume zindagi bhar chaahiye..Par abhi ke liye hum manage kar lenge.. Agar kuch chaahiye, to hum aapko zaroor bataayenge..
Yash- pakka?
Diya - haan pakka..
Yash- achcha to hum jaate hain.. take care..
Diya- ok..
She was super-duper excited to meet him after so many years, as she had been desperately waiting for this moment. She reaches London and heads straight to Ratan's hostel. There, she gets to know that since final year exams results are out, Ratan's frens had taken him for a party, in a nearby night club. Diya is little shocked to know that Ratan has gone to night club, but then she thinks that ratan's frens must have compelled him to go there, just to celebrate. She goes to night club. Everyone in night club is shocked to see her in a saari. Everyone is giving her a weird look, but she doesn't care, as she is here just to meet Ratan. She finds Ratan with his frens in a corner. His frens are talking about their future plans. Ratan is not actively participating in the discussion though. His frens ask him abt his plans. He doesnt say much.
Then one of his fren, who is drunk, gets up and says- Main sabko batata hun, Ratan ke future plans ke baare mein. Arey Ratan to already married hai, uske future plan kya hoga.. Waapis ghar jaake, 4-5 bachhe paida karna.. Kyunki shaadi to already uski ho chuki hai.. Aur woh bhi bachpan main..Child marriage... ha ha ha.. Ab baaki kya bacha hai iske liye?
Everyone starts laughing on Ratan. Diya gets very upset hearing all this. She feels insulted. She can see that Ratan is not saying anything to his frens, he is sitting quietly as if..as if he is also ashamed of his married status. This hurts Diya a lot. She cudnt stand there for one more moment. She starts crying inconsolably.. The marriage, she had accepted with her whole heart and she was very proud of, is actually a matter of shame for Ratan.. Ratan, whose safety was everything she was concerned about, whose long life she was praying for, every karwa chauth, that Ratan has changed so much now.. He is no more the same innocent Ratan, who used to care so much for Diya.. Time and place have changed a lot in Ratan. This was hurting her so much.. She decides not to meet Ratan and comes back to India same night, with broken, aching heart.
