Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus
Padmavati now titled Padmaavat is all set to
release in a week and the buzz for the film
is sky-high. The trailer has been loved and
the scale and grandeur of the film is such
that it looks like a big screen watch without
a shred of doubt. Sadly, the film faced
protests from certain quarters. Fearing a
law and order situation, Rajasthan, Gujarat,
Madhya Pradesh and Haryana asked for a
ban of the film in their respective states.
The makers however moved the Supreme
Court and going by the past instances,
Padmaavat makers surely seem to be on the
winning side. And now, the makers of
Padmaavat have secured one more victory.
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali organized a
special screening of his ambitious film to
none other than Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the
revered spiritual leader and founder of Art
of Living Foundation.
The screening of the film was held at Sri Sri
Ravi Shankar's ashram in Bengaluru,
Karnataka on January 15. Fortunately for
Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the spiritual leader
has loved the film a lot. He also remarked
that there is nothing in the film that can be
deemed objectionable. In fact, he's
surprised why certain sections are even
opposing this film that honours Rajputs. Sri
Sri Ravi Shankar also felt that Padmaavat is a
beautiful tribute to Queen Padmavati. Finally
he signed off by saying that Padmaavat is a
film that will make us feel proud and that
everyone should celebrate it.
Padmaavat stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika
Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. The film
releases on Thursday January 25 and will be
having paid previews from Wednesday
January 24.
