A brief silence later came the very obvious question any sane person would pose. "Did you think I drunk drove into someone and got myself killed?"
"Oh no! Not getting there again... please," Jodha sighed
exhausted, picking at the embroidery on her Sari. "Just drive safe. I'll be on
line."
That one exasperated sigh was enough for Jalal to discern the fright his girl would've been through. Making light of the situation just so she'd feel better, Jalal jested. "What am I coming home to, sweetie? Throttle of neck or break of ribs?"
To a bone crushing hug
and I love you!
Smiling at the sudden change in welcome plans, Jodha placed the phone down and draped her hands around knees. Propping a cheek on knee, she fondly stared down at his name flashing on screen. "A little of both..." she pursed lips trying not to sound too demure. "... and much more."
