Back in 2002, when filmmaker Sanjay
Gupta got inspired by Quentin
Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, he brought
together a bunch of seven actor to
make Kaante. From songs to storyline to
performances, everything about Kaante
hit the right chord with the audience,
and it turned out to be a hit.
And now 15 years later, the filmmaker
wants to recreate the magic with its
sequel.
According to a report in Mid-Day, after
the success of his last venture Kaabil, he
is all geared up to direct the sequel to
the 2002 hit film Kaante.
The reports further suggests that while
the original had Amitabh Bachchan, the
filmmaker now wants to rope in his
son Abhishek Bachchan for the sequel.
Along with Bachchan jr, the filmmaker
is also keen to have John Abraham in
the film.

He shouldn't do it but how typical of him to consider cashing on a sequel when he already had Mumbai Saga planned.

I will be honest and say that I do like his moves despite them being unoriginal. However, he should do Mumbai Saga which was announced a few years and its crime film set in the 80s & 90s. This one has potential if he can get a script.
