See you on another wave -2 - Page 58

Dear Mr Prakash Shanbag
your Trishu loves the boy and has admitted to him much before he walked through your back door and offered to protect her as he loves her deeply. You have lost your wife and son and are wary of losing your Trishu. She has lost it all and is torn between the love for the two of you.
She deserves happiness and protection and love and care respect and compassion.
The Narang men will accord her that. They love, care and respect her for who she is.
Please act on the revelation you have had. The confessions you have heard.
Ashvin and Trisha need a second chance. An attempt to create their happiness together.
Best regards

Mr. Shanbag is right, but I really felt bad for Ashvin in this chapter. Is he driving back to Bangalore or going to stay at Ullal until he convinces Mr. Shanbag?
If he married your daughter out of hate don't forget that your daughter also agreed for the contract marriage to save  your restaurant and see you happy.
She said she loves him now what you will do Mr. Shanbag?

It's too late to drive back. Let him stay back and knock on the door for breakfast at Shanbags.

I am so glad she nodded instantly about her love. It's going to be a long night for Prakash, thinking about Ashwin's appearance at the restaurant and his daughter's response.

Waiting eagerly to see what unfolds !

And also how much does Mandira know ! Why did she flip ?

Mr Shanbhag was very honest and straight forward
And it was good
Ashwin should know his part of the story also as it is that everyone has there part of the story of the same incident
Just loved the small details where he asked her to drive back home or him eating or her wondering wether he likes sea food or not
On in fact worry of a father to let her child walk on the inner side
It's so simple gesture we all follow when we walk with our children to ensure that they walk on the inner side of the road
These little little descriptions only make a story reading into something else where you connect and bond with the story
And grow with it

She remembered he liked Chai...she wondered if he liked sea food...cooked the coastal way in coconut rich gravy.. he wondered how she managed to do what she did day after day...
A compassionate response unconsciously slipped from Aanu...the sea is a treasure trove... occasionally treasures spill over on the shore.
A late evening walk back home in the rising wave, starting in a simple reverie and ending in a serious confession and realisation.
Human emotions and foibles are simpler to express than ensuring update after update that we get the feel we are watching through the window the tale upfold with details of hues textures flavours... the depth  of the plate the drenching by the wave...the size of the lump in her throat...the nature of her stretching ...the wrapping of the palm around the furry cat are so vivid 🤗lovely Nisha

Prakash sent Trisha to enquire about Ashvin's food instead of any other waiter . When he don't want them to interact so that Ashvin won't corrupt her.

He addressed him as son too. He is softening but at the same time is worried about Trisha (like every father would) !

On the beach at night walked a child with her father holding his hand then and now, the father who held anchor , who still wants to hold anchor so that the daughter is safe from the monster noisy waves.

But this child is big now holding the tiffin carrier for her Dad. The girl wants to be the father's anchor. The Dad did not even need to her words ... just an affirmative nod and her salty tears like the salty sea water is enough for the Dad to slowly realize that his anchor won't hold anymore against this wave... it's a tidal bore of her soul that no buoy can measure, it's too deep, unfathomable like the depths of the oceans . A sea of joy and a sea of sorrow ... it's bed is it's depth of her soul.

The tiffin carrier brings back images of the steel spoon locked to the handle of the carrier that one has to twist to open , the whole walk, description of the squishy crunchy sand... one can almost hear the back of the chappal hitting the heel of the feet making that icch iccch chapak step fwd. The night scene at the beach as they walked along, the darkness, the peanut vendor passing by adjusting his lantern night just brings bk the familiarity of how it's at Marina beach by night, thinning crowd at around 10 pm or so ... used to drive to the beach after dinner , stroll along and hang around.

It was beautifull written, the expressed and the unexpressed could be both felt , it was poetic . Enjoyed reading it. Thank you.
