Kundali Bhagya review: At least better than Abhi-Pragya's over-stretched love story.

Kundali Bhagya is a spin-off of Kumkum Bhagya.

Kumkum Bhagya's spin-off Kundali Bhagya premiered on Wednesday on Zee TV. The show is an extension of Zee TV's popular drama Kumkum Bhagya. The story revolves around Pragya's (Sriti Jha) long-lost sisters - Preeta and Shrishti.

The story begins with Preeta (Shraddha Arya) and Shristi (Anjum Fakih) struggling to board a Mumbai-bound train from Nashik station. Both the sisters are quite opposite each other. If Preeta is the demure kind, Shrishti is outspoken and a bindaas kind of a girl. Shrishti is all excited to explore the city life whereas Preeta who is a physiotherapist,  is emotional about leaving her city.

Kundali Bhagya off-screen!

The viewers get to know their back-story through flashbacks. While dying, their father asks them to go to Mumbai, as their mother and sister (Pragya) live there. In the coming episodes, the story will take an interesting turn, after the sisters reach Mumbai and start their lives afresh when these girls' cross paths with the two brothers--Rishabh (Manit Joura) and Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) who are friends with Abhi. Similar to Preeta and Shrishti, Rishabh and Karan are also poles apart. Karan is a popular cricketer, arrogant and brash while Rishabh is Abhi's manager and quite cool.

We can look forward to the show, as it will introduce romance and drama in future, as one of the promos clearly shows, Karan will share a love-hate relationship with Preeta while his brother Rishabh wil develop a liking towards her. A love triangle is sure on the cards to keep the viewers engaged in the coming episodes.

The show will be a relief for the viewers who are fed-up of Abhi-Pragya's over-stretched love story that keeps revolving around the same track for months. Kundali Bhagya has four characters with different traits, profession and aspirations.  We hope we get to watch less of kidnaps and resurrections here.

With Shraddha Arya, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Manit Joura and Anjum Fakih, the ensemble looks quite promising. We hope the show keep it simple and doesn't complicate its storyline by introducing characters like Tanu and Alia who are always scheming and plotting.
