Gurave Namah..My salutations.

Guru Purnima today. Let us pay our respects to the Devine feet of Sat Guru by chanting the Guru Paduka Stotra written by Adi Sankaracharya.

I worship Sankaracharya because  of his contribution towards the upliftment  of Hindu Vedic culture at a time when Buddhism got its strong roots in India and neighbouring countries. Vedas are our life source . Our great Epics are our inspiration towards leading a pious and meaningful life.

Sankaracharya's stotras lighten up our soul and body . His vyakhyana on Brahma Sutras and Bhagavad Gita enlighten us and lead us towards realising the ultimate bliss.

Guru Purnima is meant to celebrate the birth day of The great Seer Veda Vyasa.Veda Vyasa bestowed us with the Fifth Veda called Mahabharata that stored the essence of spiritual knowledge in the form of Bhagawad Gita.

Namo Vai Brahma Nidhaye Vasishtaya name namah .

Salutations to all the great teachers of mankind,Sri Rama Krishna Parama Hamsa, Swami Vivekananda ,Ramana Maharshi,Sri Chandra Sekhara Saraswati,Bhakti Vedanta Prabhu Pada,Gautama Buddha, Jeesus Christ, Kabir Das...many more who spread their magnificence of knowledge all around.

I  bow before Jagad Guru Krishna Vaasudeva, the complete manifestation of Vishnu for gracing us Gita by making his Parth as the means between him and us.

My heartfelt salutations to Dakshina Murty Mahadev who is the Adi Guru, the first guru who imparted knowledge to Seven Sages through silence.

Sada Siva samarambham Sankaracharya madhyamam

Asmadacharya Paryantam Vande Guru paramparam.

I salute before Dattatreya the guru who blessed the universe with his avatara parampara in the form of Sri Pada Sri Vallabha,Narasimha Saraswati ... and Samartha Sadguru Sainath.

Our History acquaints us with many gurus like Samartha Ramadas who guided Sivaji Maharaj,Kautilya the author of Artha Sastra who paved the way for Maurya rule by training Chandra Gupta Maurya .I salute them with respect.

I salute to the great Dronacharya who trained my Arjun as the greatest warrior of Aryavarth.

I request  everyone to read atleast one verse of Guru Paduka Stotram and pay respects to the Devine feet of all the gurus of the past and present.

Sri Dakshina murtaye Nama:

Krishnam Vande Jagad gurum.

  • According to Hinduism, Guru Purnima celebrates the birth of Ved Vyasa, the famous sage who is said to have edited the Vedas dividing them into four; he also wrote the Puranas which is considered the 'fifth Veda' and the Mahabharata. It is believed that on this day, prayers reach the Mahaguru directly and his blessings evade darkness and ignorance from a disciple's life.

Tad Viddhi Pranipathena Pariprasnena Sevaya
Upadekshyanti Te Jnanam Jnaninah  Tatva Darsinah.

Krishna told Arjuna to salute, serve and ask questions with humility so that the Seers who realised the ultimate truth will bestow him with knowledge.

Arjun did the same with every teacher of his. Apart from being intelligent,he is humble before his teachers. He has zeal to know and never hesitated to question but with reverence. That is why Krishna was able to impart the essence of Upanishads in the form of Gita in such an elaborate manner. Arjun's questions not only helped him in clearing his doubts but also enabled the coming generations to understand and explore Lord's Devine Song,Gita.

Blessed are the teachers who relentlessly satisfied Arjun's greed for knowledge be it in warfare or in spiritual matters.

Salutations to Adiguru Dakshina murty ,Jagad Guru Krishna and the greatest Guru Dron for moulding him  and help him ascend exceptional heights.

May the students of all time take inspiration from Arjun's all round excellence.
