Ok, now that am on a study spree because of my exams, I'll keep my comments short whenever possible. Loved the chapter, glad they made up.
And what I absolutely adore here is you are showing us what CVs didn't. That Khushi was made public too and not just kept in closed walls of Shantivan. In India, a bride is a huge thing. Yes, everyone wants to see the new bride in a family, everyone hopes she appears in a social gathering or any event etc. Even in middle class families, newlyweds have always have to be all ready and made up all day because of the frequent visits from neighbours and relatives who will come over to see the new memeber of the family. And Indias being Indians want their bahu to look the prettiest so people can say, wow, your bahu is so beautiful and Blabla. It's almost a competition in India, who has the prettiest bahu. Anyway, the point is, this continues at least until a year. After a year she's not new anymore and everyone has seen her. Her chooda is done and she can start dressing normally and not always be ready in newest dresses etc. and I've seen even in many Indian Soaps, almost all, this fact is very much considered and taken care of. Hell, in Indian tv actually everyone is always dressed up.
It's a pity that Khushi was never shown like that, even Payal to an extent, like they were indeed newly weds. Whoever didn't watch the show before Holi would think the two have been married since years the way they appeared and were shown after marriage.
But am glad you are showing that in this. How Nani insist that she goes there because Khushi is the elder bahu and of course, the newlywed. Also, although it's shown that Arnav's life is very much capitvated in Media, none makes an effort of taking care that Mrs. Raizada appears all well whenever she's outside. Anjali's saris were so beautiful and I believe they were from AR collection (if we leave the fact that it's just a show and not real) and it is a burden on my heart that Khushi was never given that importance or whatever - I can't remember the exact word to fit here - and wore those dresses. Some of them were just ugly. I liked few ones and some only appeared pretty when she wore them the first time and had matching makeup, bangles, posture etc.
You know what I mean na. Khushi was never given that right (?) of a newlywed though she was very much Arnav Singh Raizada's wife. And I believe, they way media captured Arnav's life with his ladies, it would have been a treat and sensational story for them to have the WIFE of ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA, a FASHION house owner dress up like this. She could have often appeared at the top and flop coloums of fashion magazines.
Yeah, this much to my short comment. Ok, I'll keep it short now but. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
