Sandiip Sikcand's Dhhai Kilo Prem is not an ordinary Saas-bahu saga, the impending roka ceremony is not exactly what an ideal plot of an unconventional romantic story should look like. The main protagonists are not in love, at least the guy's not as he's secretly lusting his beau's petite pretty friend.
Dhhai Kilo Prem throws another twist happening around the Roka ceremony of Piyush & Deepika.
Following a robbery in the house, Deepika's family are falling short of money to bring in a caterer on board who refuses to do the catering unless the full payment with Deepika & her friends accepting the challenge & prepare to cook an entire meal for the roka ceremony.
Piyush who has no intentions of marrying the bubbly & overweight Deepika plan every trick available in the book to stall the roka. Piyush on learning about Deepika's idea, gets his family to the former's house only to see Deepika not yet ready for the Roka ceremony. What should have caused a dissappointment to the Ladkawalas, they seemed rather impressed by Deepika's idea. He further ganging up with Amit decide to spoil the food by adding salt to it.
But Deepika's not the one to give up easily. She intelligently asks Sarika to fill in for her & keep the guests busy with her dance. Sarika's quite handy as she gets the family dancing too & buying Deepika some time to fix the food.
Though Deepika fails to better the taste of the food but her effort left Pankaj rather impressed. After all Truth always defeats the wrong.
But madly-in-love Deepika oblivious to Piyush's plan gracefully pulls off a dance & concludes the roka ceremony with 'Jag Ghoomiya'
