We can start from Arjuna's childhood. It is often said that Pandu died on Arjuna's birthday. How true is this and what do you guys think? How difficult it would have been for him?

Maharaja Pandu did not die on Arjuna's birthday. Those are folk tales. if you go by the original, he didn't. Either way, it was difficult for Parth, and all the Pandavas. It would have been very difficult for him. Yet, he would have taken it in stride, like all the other Pandavas did. He isn't Pandava Arjuna for nothing ðŸ˜³

But Pandu definitely died sometime around Arjun's birthday,if not on the same day. It was spring time in falgun as we know, when he desired mata madri.

Arjuna would have been a lot affected. He was only 5 then. The twins were too young to understand anything while Yudhishtira was elder and his calm self.Probably he was grief-struck but he didn't show it like most other instances. So arjuna and bheema's grief was the greatest. And add to it the fact that his father passed away around his birthday, how his birthday would have reminded him of that. But yes he was pandava arjun, the most valorous of all.Edited by ramya06 - 7 years ago
