Did this episode remind anyone of the movie Zakhm?

What a great first episode!!
Avni is a great child actor.  

The episode reminded me of Mahesh Bhatt's movie Zakhm.  The theme is similar.  The dad is a director having an non-legally-endorsed relationship with a woman who has borne his kid and pregnant with another.  The director's role was played by Nagarjuna, his partner by Pooja Bhatt, their child by Kunal Khemu.

Yup. This serial has uncanny resemblance to Zakhm. Let's see how future episodes roll out and is we get anymore similarities 😊

This show is inspired by Zakhm. Mahesh Bhatt has basically taken the plot of Zakhm and adapted it to a show but instead from the point of view of a little girl. Mahesh Bhatt did state that "Naamkarann starts where Zakhm ended."

The first episode definitely gives that impression - does it not?  I guess we have to wait and see how the rest of the story unfolds.

I agree with you - we have to wait and see how the story shapes up.  Bhatt is going to project it from a female child POV

i just saw half episode , Naamkarann.

hope you also enjoy this show, lets see how much i connect.

yes sometime, somethings, we not connect after one staze,  

But yesterday episode of kasam was fine.

but i like avani,
