Why Major Rudra doesn't sport an Army cut??

Guys, I have recently started watching RR on Rishtey. There, as we all know, Rudra is a Major in BSD, a sub-unit of Army. So, it is expected that he should sport cropped hair, i.e the Army cut. But instead, we find him having a long flowing mane. Why is it so?? Anyone having any answer to this, please reply.

For the same reason that our film stars don't do in their films while playing army officers 😆
