supernatural trend recently started in tv with SSK bringing ghosts, dayaans, naagins etc

Naagin a bi weekly show managed to rule trp chart till its last episode

zee tv have launched vishkanya after that

then kavach which is also in top ten trp chart till now.

now zee is launching a bi weekly show Brahmarakshas when the same channel scrapped a crime thriller show Mohra which had Barun sobti as lead stating that crime shows never get trps

so what is your thought about supernatural shows? i have watched few episodes of naagin and left it as it is un bareable. too much ott and un acceptable illogical stuffs.

why crime shows and realistic shows like Tamanna, Dehleez, MAHPH,PKHD, Reporters, KRPKABH and EDKV never work in trp charts?

Really I don't know Uma...even I don't understand why is it so?

May be because the TRPs come mainly from the rural areas...where still may be the education and open mindedness is still lacking...that's why such supernatural shows are so liked...May be I am wrong...

Its not only about supernatural shows...even some urban based shows are like this...no personal offences against anyone but recently I saw an episode of one of the chart topper shows on some other channel...I would neither name the channel or the show...I just didn't like the scene they showed...it was just so poorly presented and the people were just going ga ga over that scene.

I just expressed my views on that scene in that particular forum and I was ready for a healthy criticism from the viewers.

But to my surprise what I was told by one of the forum member that I SHOULD RATHER STOP WATCHING THE SHOW AS I CAN'T ACCEPT ANYTHING BLINDLY...

This is what we get when we express criticism openly. So why to blame the TRPs when educated urbanites behave like this and tell you to either like anything blindly or just stop seeing the show...they can't take healthy criticism...

This would mean that such people when they go for shopping, they buy anything whatever the shopkeeper gives them because its brand new and in and because others are going mad over it...CRAP ...seriously...🤢😡

Now after this really I don't blame the TRPs...that's why this time I didn't make a post on the latest TRPs...I really don't know what to say...This is my POV and want yours on that COMMENT...PLEASE...

agree with u uma .because of these supernatural stuff good shows are being ignored .i think the main problem in the Indian trp system . many Indians still Like these stupid saas bahu drama supernatural stuff etc .so major trp goes to them .If you see foreign shows they always are hit whichever season may be .even if they show supernatural stuff there to they show something sensible which makes it interesting to watch them

i can understand manisha what you are trying to say.

as i said previously i started watching indian tv from IPKKND i was a house surgeon at that time. so i had not joined IF at that time. joined IF after seeing QH!. there also me and few people protested many scenes they are showing in the name of love and jodi chemistry. so i stopped watching these dramas as its so not realistic and even people go gaga over some unacceptable things shown in the name of chemistry. i have said previously too i never blame the channel or ph. i have seen PKHD from BT which is content wise the best show ekta ever produced. such a realistic content about prevalinig terrorism and spys in india. even being a finite show they had to scrap it even before than planned because of TRPs. despite of being senior talented actors starring in it the show was said thandha as the leads didn't have intense scenes instead subtle romance a direct confession of love was not acceptable by many.

Its not only about the content but also about someone's mentality Uma. How you take criticism...how you react to it...If you say that if i close my eyes and the world stops to exist...THIS IS NOT TRUE...So people should learn to accept both positive and negative reviews...That's it...When I made that post, there were others too who supported me but really I didn't expect someone to be so BLIND...😉

i agree tasha i have followed few pakistani and korean dramas as it mostly doesn't exceed more than 25 episodes and content wise strong too

Recent news is one more supernatural show is coming up in Colors named Devanshi produced by Sonali Jaffer
