Her expression indicated she was going to cry?
"We are talking about a split or merger between commercial and political campaigns" he said slowly
"Siraf do hafte ka time off ja rahi hai main" she argued
That Hindi aroused him as much as her body did
"Suvechha" he said softly trying to reel in his carnal feeling
The way he said it could be seen in her gaze
She sensed how he said it and quickly lowered her gaze hiding her emotion
"Story board dekhna hai Neel?" she asked politely
She spread out her wares
He asked her a million question, she didnt sit down just took the Qs down on her ipad
He noticed her wrist was singed
She quickly pulled her hand away "I was making fish in the front burner, I had rice on the back" she explained sincerely
"Does it hurt?" he asked
"Abhi to nahi" she said quietly
"Can you go for less than two weeks?" he asked
Her heart did a dizzying spin making her nauseated
"Itna door hai Delhi se... ek hafte mein kya hoyega?" she asked
"U can go back after the reorg?" he offered
She didnt look up at him
She didnt want to, she just HOPED there was a sparkle of joy when she agreed
"Barobar" she nodded
"Will u change your ticket?" he asked, with disbelief, not sure it was actually so easy
"Summer end se pehle apne ko maloom chalega?" she asked
A sly thot occured to him as he wished the reorg went on for years and she couldnt go
"Wo kya hai na... waapas book karne ka hai" she said
"U shud bill the company for late or change fee" he ordered
"Woh koi baat nai" she nodded
Their gaze locked
"When are you leaving?" he asked
School khatam hoyega to" "When we book tickets school khatam nai hoyega" she giggled like a child
He was overjoyed
He leaned back
"Chhote me, Baba ticket laate the Kolhapur ke roj school se aake main unko dekhti hai" she said with child like enthusiasm
"Does Aadhya know?" he asked
"Abhi usko maloom nai... Mrs Singh ko kehna hoyega mere ko" she made a face
"They wont let you leave?" He wanted to have this mundane conversation with her
She sat down trying to explain
"Unka policy book... devaaa... 100 pages" she laughed again
"She will be so excited" he said
"Naiii... waha koi hai nai... full bore... garmi... haan bas shaam ko village fair rehta hai na?" she asked
He nodded mesmerized
"Udhar jaane ka" she smiled
"That shud be fun?" he asked
"Bas itta" she showed a few phalanges marking with her pink nail colored thumb
"I just sat down only" she said smiling wide, getting up grinning
And just left...
Gurpreet put his secret unspoken desire into action without his asking or telling
She called Suvechha and asked her to come for dinner On Sat evening,
"pehle yaha aane ka na? for pao bhaji"
"Bulaya maine pehle hai... is liye yaha aa jao yaar" she begged
"Main kya laayegi?"
"Bus apni beti ko laayegi." Gurpreet ordered
She wore a orange Chanderi cotton saree with a simple orange sleeveless blouse, pinning the saree like a teacher
"Aadhya mee teacher" she said picking up her ruler
"Pretty teacher" Aadhya hugged her
She asked Tai if she wanted to go
Tai made a face and said it was her "upvaas"
"Just give me money" she said
"I give you money for cell phone every month" Suvi argued
"And u starve me half the month as u dress up to go to your man's house" Tai reminded
"This money is tainted... I probably shudnt give you" Suvi said and walked out
"Tai is angry?" Aadhya asked fearfully
"tai is Tai" Suvi explained
They arrived at 8 ish with mangoes and leechis and some cake
Gurpreet texted her the address and she discovered the house was NEXT DOOR
Her heart rate sped like a NASCAR vehicle on the speedway
But Preet had promised "Bas Punjabis aur Punjabi khana"
That was ofcourse a lie
Not the last part, but the first part
Neel opened the front door to the massive bungalow
"Waapis ek aur ghar mein move ho gaye?" she squeaked
He didnt let her in... just stood in the way
"Hamey laga aap bina bataye waha daava bolti rehti hai to hamey kahin aur chaley jaana chahiye" he said grimly
Watched with satisfaction as heat rose all over her face
"Well u did not move far enough" she mocked
They basically stood rubbing on each other unintentionally
"Aage se batakar aa yegi main?" she whispered (NOW CAN U LET ME IN? tone)
"Wrong answer" he said softly
"Aage se kabhi nahi aayegi?" she asked her face somber
He just looked, his eyes furious
"Neel"
"Can u come every Friday?" he asked
Just when she bloomed like a rose Aadhya pushed the door and let herself in
Gagan walked up to the door too
"Neel kisi ko Kuch pakka bech raha hoga. these marketers I tell u" he opened the door to greet her
He joked that the people that knocked to sell something, usually got sold something by Neel
