@captain spark agree to you. Though I have not watched much Telugu and Kannada movies , the range of subjects in Tamil and Malyalam Bollywood can never come near to.
We have good script driven movies in south. They are quite realistic and down to earth. Malayalam has taken many subjects as movie themes much ahead of times.
And Tamil directors like Mani Ratnam have woven classics. You can survive in Bollywood with minimum acting abilities, whereas down south your performance decides where you will be placed.
