NIsHA this is my all time most beautiful number! Just two days ago, I was telling someone that kanwaljeet was absolutely awesome in Shankar Hussein and the songs absolutely pulled at your heart strings, specially this one and ek masoom, nazuk si ladki, OMg and here you are working about it, if this isn't telepathy, ESP, of whatever then what is?????

Lovely choice of song to cap the 50th. It's absolutely exhilarating to pin songs that matches the mood of the update to where the story stands today.Nicely done

Kanwaljeet, Farman 90's DD.. Heavy use of Urdu in that serial . When Neha mentioned Fawad, I actually thought of kanwaljeet with salt and pepper side burns. The image that I hv of him is only from Farman days... He was too too much much Dapper then.
Then thought let me not pop Neha's bubble 😳 ... Swooning over Fawad.

Thursday morning, in NOIDA There was no FM playing in the kitchen
There was no sounds of sizzle
There was no scent of lavender or meadows or roses
There was no jostling by the mirror, no fondling no fingering
There was no "NIHOOO" "NIHOO" shout outs every few seconds

"Neel kya karte ho aap, hatao isko, living room mein?"

"Neel MERE show ke oopr kyon record kiya aapne?"

"Neel 4 text aa gaye hain subah se unse, PLEASE late mat hona yaar"

"neel... NEEEL" just his name

He shaved hurriedly nicking himself on his chin again, pressed down a paper towel and ran to Nihar's room, Nihar  sat there with his breakfast in front of him

Nihar looked up and smiled

"U are still shaving" he argued

Neel smiled

Very lil things got him angry

But he wouldnt tell Nihar that

His eyes were BIG like saucers like Neel's

"Just for those eyes, I would be willing to have a dozen of your babies" Nupur had whispered that first week from the hospital with the new baby

"Looks like there might be something in it for me" he whispered kissing her softly

Neel felt tears
He turned away

"Does it hurt?" NHihar asked worried...

"A LOT" Neel nodded
"7 minutes Nihar" he said in a choked voice

Nihar stared at his emotional Dad
He wondered why he was crying today

He nicked himself sometimes...

He followed him to the bathroom, anxious

Kids did not like to see adults grieve

Their eyes sought out every lil nuance in change in behavior and panicked
They wanted the surviving parent to pretend "all is well"

Neel was splashing water on his face

He turned to look at his son and made a goofy face

"The water has too much sulphuric acid... JUST LOOK AT MY EYES" he mocked
Nihar reached and felt the water and smelled

"Nooo" he chuckled
Neel wrapped him and himself in the towel and hugged him

"Finish up fast" he ordered

Nihar left, his shoulders more relaxed now... Neel observed

There was a door bell ring

Nihar ran to open it and screamed

Neel rushed out and saw Nupur's parents

Mr & Mrs Misra

His face broke into a BIG smile

Nupur's Dad was a bureaucrat in MP Govt and his Mom was a Physician

"What a lovely surprise"

"We havent seen him in two months" Ragini Misra cooed carrying Nihar

"May I take the day off Daddd... PLEASEEE PLEASEEE" he begged

Neel was cornered... he nodded acquiescing

"THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVERRR" Nihar declared

Nupur's Dad walked over and hugged him warmly

"How are you beta?" he asked
Neel had JUST stopped crying, that was a BAD question at a WRONG time

His filled up with bold tears this time

Ragini whispered in Nihar's ear "Show me your room"

The men sat down weakly on the sofa letting it all out

I also want suvi to take Initiative this time
Pandit g is in two mind he need some pushing

We are drawn to folks they attract us immensely by who they are

We are bonded to others that leave a lasting impression on us

They show us in little caring gestures and make us feel special in every way

When out of the blue they move out of our life a pall sets in and looms large over all we think and do

On days the impact permeate every pore we find it hard to shake the thoughts and wear the normal mask and move about

There are days they make way for us to carve fresh memories and forge ties

The intense gloom and despair fog our vision and cloud our consciousness

We long to bawl and share our grief to vent what weighs so heavily within

When all we have in children for company we are wary not to distress them with our pain

We mask our pain paint a smile don the goofy act and move about in pain
