yeah I felt the same the love story is so rushed that many misunderstood mastani's character. 


Even I agree! That's a good thought. First part ends with the interval part of kashi watching Rao n Mastani together. That way they cud have included aaj Ibadat also.

Second wud be the pregnancy track n his conflicts with the brahmins n the war with nizam's son 
And the epic climax

But nevertheless sudeep did a fab job n I agree with you guys

On hind sight everything can be done better.

A mark of a genius is to create something from a blank canvas...
Not to look at an end product and decide how to tweak it to make it better!

There is a lot to the story, slb had to fit 20 years of bajiraos life into 2.5 hrs and I think he did a great job 

Ranveer and Deepika did mention in one interview that there is atleast 3-4 hours of total footage of bm, so slb did hav to cut a lot to fit it into a more suitable viewing time, I wud love to see a directors cut version where we cud see all the deleted scenes :) 

Sudeep did a superb job Aswell
