posting publisher file on i-f

hi, i don't know if anyone can help me with this question, but i was wondering how can we transfer a publisher file layout here on I-F? many people used to do it before back in 2006-2007 but i was wondering how they did it. like, i was able to still highlight text despite having a different background. please explain
