"To inke bhai ko bula dijiye" Pandit ji spoke again.
Appa and Amma exchanged glances .My heart skipped a beat as I looked at their sad faces.Tears brimmed up in my eyes automatically.
"Pandit ji , Nandini ka koi bhai bhi nahi hai!" Appa said " Kya main ye rasam nibha sakta hu?"
"Kisne kaha Nandini ka koi bhai nahi hai?" We heard a familiar voice from behind us and turned around to see who he was!

So those who are not well acquainted with the wedding rituals of Punjabis...I will be putting up a detail explanation of all the rituals soon.But till then lets talk about what chooda is.
Its actually a mixture of red and white bangles which a punjabi bride wears on the wedding day. Girl's mamu { Her mother's brother] makes her wear those bangles.They are a sign of a newly wed girl and just like vermillion and mangalsutra...Chooda is worn in the name of the groom.
The girl is supposed to wear it for a min of 40days after the wedding but most of the girls here wear it for an year or so .
