Chholey & Chutney
She left for work soon after, he followed her to the car, she wasnt allowed to drive she was told😳
"This is so silly" she whispered as they cuddled by the car
"i agree" he nodded😳
"Its my arm, not my foot or eyes" she argued
The driver opened the giant gate from the outside, and quickly shut it when he found the couple cooing
The couple quickly separated
"Mahavir seems to have packed u lunch for a week" he mocked "But u can come home for the night" he winked
"rakshasan" she cursed
"do u want to go to Malviya Nagar for chholey bhature tonite?" he asked scanning her face
"Aaaj raat ko?" she asked thrilled
He nodded
"Niiice... gajar ka halwa bhi khilaogey?" she asked
He nodded "and maybe even aloo tikki too" he whispered
"Drive me to work" she ordered
"How about tomorrow?"
"Aaj kaha ja rahe ho?" she asked unhappily
He squirmed
"manya ke saath?" she asked
"No she is spending the day with Makarand, she blew me off" he smiled
"TUMSE to milne nahi aayi woh, tum bas biwi se khush ho jao" she reminded him
"Bummer!!" he laughed huskily
She pulled his scarf (in India they call it muffler)
"Does go with ur kurta" he said
"Poda!!!" she made a face taking it to the car
"Do u want to go see Bala's Mom tonite?" he asked patiently
"Shaayad nahi" she said

When Appa told Amma II was hurt Amma was quite distraught
She kept calling II through her 10 to 11 meeting and sent two texts
"Ennachu pa?" she asked when II finally answered
"Nothing Ma just a scrape" "You know Appa" II chuckled
"adu seri, did Vandu dress it for u?" (I know Appa)
"Umm... ya"
"she said she made coconut coriander chutney for pongal, ur favorite, did u eat good?"
"I had to head to work after changing, so I didnt" II lied
"You didnt eat?" Amma was shocked
"No... I eat there when ever I go. Its no big deal Amma" II reassured
Vandu said u liked the chutney" Amma was stunned
"Oh ya, I tasted it" II lied, miffed
Amma was left mighty confused
"Ishita" Amma hesitated

"U know Vandu... she is very stressed. " Amma paused
"I know" II nodded, overcome with grief
"Ambala Anna is coming this weekend, for a DAY for some army man'sson's wedding. VARA KOODADA? (Cant he come see his mother?) Mukund is coming too, atleast he can come and stay over at night at Munirka no?" Amma ranted
"What is that boy's name, Manya and him were friendly on Shubhang's punyajananam?" Amma enquired
"Makarand?" II squirmed
"Yes... Mukund wants to spend time with Makarand it seems... they are not best friend" Amma ranted
II stared out the window, wondering how her in laws family was getting pulled into this mess slowly but surely
"How is Manya?"Amma asked
"she is fine"
"Appa and I will come see her"
"ayyo no ma" II went on the defensive
"Why?"
"She is never home, she is very vague... she doesnt believe in such protocol"II said bluntly
"But she is ur sister in law"
"they dont believe in all those rituals"
Amma sighed
"Its out duty"
"No its not, she" II stopped

"How is R&B's hand?" Amma asked worrying
"Well, I told him no rock climbing, trekking, scuba diving" II chuckled derisively
"All Punjabi boys are not like him" Amma sighed sadly"He has such wild pastimes"
"All Iyer girls are not like me no?" II went on the defensive
Amma smiled softly... II leaned back and stared out at the Gurgaon traffic
