THANKSGIVING
There are moments when we are stung and writhe
Moments when we want a salve to heal
A smile and tender loving care warms our heart
It's the succor we all need
The hand that reaches to wipe the tear the breath to cool the burn
When the pain and cause are visible to all fixing it seems a breeze
When the hurt is unseen and festers within an overflowing eye is seen
The vanished smile the rationed words the increasing decibel
The tightened jaw the clenched fist the flexed muscle all at one go or in doses
Indicate the ailing hurt within. Withdrawal and silence nourish it well
Thriving and evolving into snowball to knock one down to hell
It is better by far to rave and rant and kick the monster evict from the moored spot
A calm emanates it radiates a new energy, an optimism permeates every pore, light transcends
Joy Peace serenity prevails, a true thanksgiving for all life's blessings.
