The morning passes away in a flurry of activities as an overjoyed Nachiket calls Ragini to inform that he has been offered the second job as well.
Ragini smiled at his exuberance at the other end of the line. And asks
'But Nachiket, the job offered yesterday is with a bigger Hospital group, right?'
'Yes, yes' Nachiket answers, flinging his suit inside the car, while walking over to the driver's side.
He replies back
'This is a Heart Speciality Hospital, Ragini and very high-tech and updated. They are now planning to expand further in the same area of specialisation and they need international expertise. That's me.'
'Of course Nachiket. I am happy. I think you have already chosen' Ragini says as she walks up to the canteen, only to be met with Dr Devika there. She sits down on the same table as Devika, and signals for a standard meal. Devika was already half done.
'Where are you sweetheart?' Nachiket asks, his words spreading warmth across her being.
Ragini digs into her food as she answers
'At the canteen. With Devika. It's lunch time, Nachiket. Why don't you return home and have lunch with Maa? She would be happy.'
'Nah' he replies as he starts the car.
'I have some preparations to make, for tonight's celebrations'
A shiver runs through Ragini as she disconnects the call and smiles down happily at her plate of food.
Devika stares at her and after a while says
'Dr Khanna is definitely keeping you busy all night, Ragini. being married to him suits you'
