"I am taking the boys golfing" woke her up on Sat Oct 31st morning, kissing and inhaling her sleep warmed cheeks.. he felt her nude belly and said bye to his lil one

Nivi danced and played all night long, II was awake in fear unwilling to change sides even, she wouldnt let him "touch" her after they discovered her communicating
"Hes awake" she whispered, when he fondled her despite leaving one hand on her belly

"Its a she BTW" he whispered nipping her ear

"I dont want a girl" she cried "I want someone bald and drooling" she said passionately
"Tan is almost 40" "sorry" he chuckled

"I am going to tell Sam" she whispered, as he frisked

"U shud" he nodded cooly

He kissed her, shutting her up, picking her up later and going over to the bed.
She gave him what he "wanted" keeping Nivi out of the way as much as possible
She felt urgent twitching when "they were done" with it...  "She according to you, and he according to me, hates it" she informed

She took his hand and placed it on her belly, he felt the quick twitches

"Or she is elated" he said, lifting his head and placing it gently on her bulge, letting his cheek rest on her cool sweat moistened belly

He felt the twitch on his cheek, "Shes busy" he whispered

"she must be a night owl like you" II cursed yawnin "Neeyum toongade ennayum toonga vidaade" (u dont sleep, u dont let me sleep)
He raised his head dragged her close and wrapped her up in his arms like she were a tantrumy child and cooed "shhh" he whispered

"Making love while pregnant is better than anything" she said innocently

He nodded and watched her fall asleep in his arms  "Dont go" she opened her eyes and warned

He chuckled, nodding

Amma called her an hour after she woke and checked on Periappa to ask if they can come by and get him on Sunday

"No Ma how about Nov 8th?" II panicked

"Ishitaaa... umm.. hes here too now, its Deepavali week" Amma hesitated

"What has that got to do with Periappa being here?" II shouted

"Kathaade deee" Amma begged

"You and Appa in ur free time are always plotting to separate me and Periappa"

Amma burst out laughing "Podi... vettiya scene podaade" (drama queen)

"No thats the truth" II accused

"Listen to me, enna pesa vidreya? I was telling Appa since you are married OUR ears have gotten a rest, we feel bad for Mr Ranjan and R&B" Amma gasped laughing

"How mean... dont worry... there is nobody at home, so I am either talking to myself or talking with Periappa"


"Where did he go?" Amma whispered, she didnt want Appa to know his kozhandai had been abandoned two days after arrival in India

"Ayyo ma, he has taken the boys golfing" "Yesterday"

Amma interrupted "WHY did Vandu send Shravu?" Amma panicked

II froze... "Appa ku terinja kathuva" (Appa will yell)

"BTW he is not Appa's child" II felt hurt

"I know that kanna... why unnecessarily you know"

"amma she is my nathanar (SIL), Appa doesnt want anyone to be in touch with anybody in my family, naa avlav dveshama? ( am I so abhorrent?) II choked up

"No kannna I did not say that"

"U dont want periappa here, u dont want Shravu at Shanti Niketan, when Sam invites you and Appa you politely find reasons to decline"
When ever she was agitated Nivi was going to going to calm her down, she felt a familiar twitch

She rubbed her belly and ran her nails softly, back and forth back and forth... the twitch mellowed
"Its a weekend, and a week before Deepavali, ava ellam periya manusha, they will have 100 parties to go to (they are all big shots)" Amma explained

"If Shravu is not wanted why will they have him over?" II asked calmly

Nivi floated happily
"Vandu sonna, R&B asked Bala and Shravu is ever ready he hopped in your car and left" Amma explained

"There is no need to ASK where family is concerned" II cleverly bolstered her case for getting Akka help with the baby

"See all that is easy to say kannappa, but u know you have to follow some protocol, see if u had married in NOIDA or Rohini
(Amma carefully avoided saying IYER explicitly) we can.. u know" Amma dragged

"So I married someone from Malcha Marg, big deal" II insisted

Wish R&B was here
He would have loved to hear some of that confident, self assured declaration of belonging about MM and Shanti Niketan

"Vandu said her house was a mess and R&B must have thought" Amma said

"I dont think he cares... he only cares about fighting with me" II cursed

"Ayyo... why are u fighting?" Amma panicked

"Ammaaa... shhh... Ammaa... umm... will u ask Appa to ask Bala if its OK if YOU guys find a help for the baby?" II approached the topic silkily

"athai is there for two weeks sonna" Amma explained

"athai ku atomic bomb vedicha kooda kekardu kedayadu!!! (she cant hear when an atomic bomb goes off) II shouted

Amma fought the humor.. "They are three people" "Athai and Akka's in laws" Amma explained

"Two cant hear... Paati lives in la la land... she loves Tamizh serial" II lamented, giving herself away

"Did u talk to Bala" Amma asked suspiciously

There is a proverb in Tamil paambin kaal paambariyum (literal: A snake knows the slither of its young)

"Nooo" II denied

"If u are giving me so much explanation, ida pathi neraya yojichu iruke" (uve given it some thought)

I HAVE ACTUALLY FOUGHT WITH MY HUSBAND
JUST WHEN ONE OF US WAS GOING TO KILL THE OTHER
THE BABY KICKED
PORUMA?
RAKSHASAN!!!!!

"Amma the baby kicked" II gushed

"Pottum po, romba sandosham" (very nice, very happy) Amma choked up

"Na solren hes a boy, he keeps saying its a girl" II whined

"Retaya porakkatum" (Let there be twins) Amma blessed, 5 years too soon

To an amazing symphony that adds so much zest and verve to the lives of the 50 odd women and 2 brave young men day after day. Make us swoon and coo..whine and don the extremist hat ...reach out and be missed so fondly...realizing that  despite our difference in age ...lifestyle...locations and whatever else, that there is one thing that all of us savor, relish  crave for is an update from our amazing Nisha...

Congratulations and celebrations on the new thread with our Angel announcing her hello to her excited parents and all the SoSyians out here.

One early morning doubt... 

Though I am a few updates behind...the link to the new thread had my hands itching to post a congratulations.
