Svetlana, Olga and Manya
Wednesday Sep 30th they were all up early, dude because he had to go to work, II and Ranjan because they had slept so much since arriving in Paris
Ranjan was asleep when she peeked into the bedroom last night hoping to bring him out to watch a movie
She made chai for Ranjan and herself, and R&B had coffee
"Have u spoken to Manya?" Ranjan asked cautiously
"is she back?" R&B looked up from the French paper curiously
"I spoke with her ghar se last Wed? Thursday... uske baad meri baat nahi hui" Ranjan sighed,
unable to express just how much he worried for his 30 something daughter
"She does this often doesnt she?" R&B asked "Go off on "off the grid vacations?" he continued
"Umm... yeah... umm.. vacations are OK" Ranjan hesitated to say more
II assumed because she was there
She picked up her chai mug and a couple English newspapers and when R&B dragged a chair back for her
" I am goingt o watch TV and read" she smiled smugly
He nodded
Wondering how or what he will say to Ranjan after II leaves the room
II walked out quietly
She wasnt so nauseous this morning, it came in waves these days
He had let her sleep, tho she tossed and turned for a long time
Finally, climbing over him and laying on him to rest
She had woken up being made love to...
The office was tiny with the bed pulled out now... it was cozy, she knew where everything was in this house
She imagined the apartment in Delhi in Gurgaon, she would be like Akka
She wanted to live in an apartment, the MM bungalow was huge and impersonal and had too much help
"Can we live in an apartment in Delhi?" she asked him as he moved on her
"We do, dont we on the 2nd floor?" he kissed her shoulder, caressing it with his hand
"I love this place" she hugged him and moaned
"Its tiny" he whispered

"No" she whispered to something he did
He flirted, teased "It didnt hurt that last time"
"No... u absolutely will not" she groaned on his chest
"Lets make a deal" he whispered
"It always sounds to me like "Let me win" she whispered devilishly, agonized as he lay her back, spreading her arms wide on the narrow bed
He whispered in her ears "what does that sound" he asked boldly
Her face crimson "U are an ass" she whispered
"Thanks" he said cupping her core with a warm hand as she moaned involuntarily... jerking up from bed
She had brought some of her clothes and his and their things and stacked it in yet another book rack in the office, emptied a shelf,
and set it all , so she wouldnt have to go to the Master bath or closet when Ranjan was asleep or in the room
That made the whole set up more cozy, almost like make believe.
Like they were ship wrecked on an island and had only this room
or they were broke and shacked up with a friend and only had this room to themselves
She didnt tell him all that, he would chalk it up to "harmones" or "women!!"
She did that last night while fixing dinner, when he came in to grab his laptop while watching soccer he watched her do that...
His desk was FILLED with stuff, she wondered how he made sense of it all
It seemed sexy and cool to her to be married to a man who was so quiet, preoccupied and disorganized
"A mad venture capitalist" "This office is his lab"
"I am his sexy lab tech"
"This is ur lab and u are the mad scientist" she whispered, "Afterwards"
He nodded weakly, a part of him still throbbing inside her
"I am ur sexy Russian lab tech"
He burst out laughing...
"Russian?" he asked sputtering with laughter
She nodded
"Or I could be Bosnian or Serbian or Albanian" she offered
He laughed more
"I love the accent... I want the name Svetlana" "olga" "or Kapitolina" she said
He kissed her forehead, "What about a blonde or a redhead wig?" he asked amused
"No" she said firmly... shutting her eyes and thoughts from veering to areas that were scary
She turned to pick up the Wall Street Journal... as her chai was almost all gone
She didnt wnat to eat bread, she wanted idlis
She chuckled... "cant be in Paris one day without my idlis"
The door bell rang
She went to get it
It was Manya.
She was a lil less shocked at seeing Manya than Manya was of seeing II open the door
