5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate was Mr. Nair

Bill Gates: Thank you for coming. Those who do not know JAVA may leave.

2000 people leave the room.

Mr.Nair says to himself, 'I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I'll give it a try'

Bill Gates: Candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people may leave.

2000 people leave the room.

Mr.Nair says to himself ' I never managed anybody by myself but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me?' So he stays... ...

Bill Gates: Candidates who do not have management diplomas may leave.

500 people leave the room.

Mr.Nair says to himself, 'I left school at 15 but what have I got to lose?' So he stays in the room..

Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Japanese to leave.

498 people leave the room.

Mr.Nair says to himself, ' I do not speak one word of japanese but what do I have to lose?'

So he stays and finds himself with One other candidate. Everyone else has gone.

Bill Gates joined them and said 'Apparently you are the only two candidates who speak japanese, so I'd now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language.'

Calmly, Mr.Nair turns to the other candidate and says,

"Amma" Nivi wandered shyly

"Hmm" II placed lids on the avial, the brinjal vetha kozhambu dal less sambar/sauce thats a good accompaniment to the avial

Swept off crumbs from the counter

"Bhabhiji hum kar lenge" he pleaded

"Ammma" Nivi whispered

"Hamko nahi batayiyega?" Minion begged

Nivi stared at him shyly

"Chollu raja, hes asking u no... its rude" II coaxed

"Amma" Nivi whispered, as a kneeling Minion smiled

Ii turned  "What do u want love"

She pulled her arm

II bend down "Can I sit by thatha at lunch?" she whispered in II's ear

Ii smiled

"OFCOURSE RAJA" she said laughing

"Nandu na (short for Anna) said that spot has pins and needles on it"

"Hes kidding pattu" II chuckled

"What if he sees me? she asked fearfully

Nandu was here for dinner, he needed help on a paper he was writing on Business and Society, Tan was traveling so Sam had sent him here so II could help
He was a QUIET TERROR, though he was 11 years older than Maanvi

Shubhang was Maanvi's favorite he trailed her from room to room to room, she played gently and spoke softly
His older brothers beat him up so he was very timid

Shubhang was X months older than Maanvi (Author says:U girls have crazy math skills so I am not taking any "ricks" by revealing.
Someone I knew in Delhi would say "ricks waali baat" for risk)

"Amma Shubhang can come over?" she asked

II stacked the dining table with food

Nivi went up to the grand staircase turned around and HALF SMILED, doing exactly what she was told

II's heart skipped a beat at the smile

They came down in 10 minutes, R&B holding her, feeling her fake pearl necklace and tiny purple bangles on both wrists

He kissed her on the cheek

She made a face, blushed, rubbed her cheek and looked at II "Amma" she whispered

"I KNOW kanna" II spoke "knowingly" afterall he tormented her for 5.X years now

He sat with his daughter on his lap

"Can I sit by thatha?" Nivi whispered in his ear

He half smiled nodding

She instructed Mahavir to get Ranjan from his office on the 1st floor as she began to serve her husband, one of the dudes in her belly kicked hard, she winced and sat down

Nivi gently slid off her Dad's lap and sat on Ranjan's right

Ranjan smiled when he saw her sitting where Nandu usually sat

"Hey where is ur poem?" he asked his daughter

"Thatha took it for framing" Maanvi said shyly

R&B looked at his Dad

Ranjan nodded smugly

"What was it about?" he enquired

II was preoccupied, there werent enough small bowls... she waved to Mahavir  "I DONT know da, na padikave ille"

"Tu vaith puttar, Mahavir parosega" Ranjan ordered

Ii sat down and began to eat with her fingers, the boys did a happy dance in her belly...as the first taste of avial hit the taste buds, she moaned savoring the taste

She mixed Manvi's food, Manvi ate like a bird, not a grain of rice falling off her plate

The tiny tendrils escaping the wet hair braid

"What was the poem about?" R&B asked his Dad

"Spring" Ranjan said

"Can I see it after lunch?" he asked

"Emad nu pakdaya maine frame karaan waaste, lautega to dekh leyeen" Ranjan spoke carelessly

R&B had a "hmmphhh" look

"Is the chair poking u?" II checked on her daughter, biting her lower lip hiding a smile
 sensing rakshasan's jealousy

He would torment her at night she KNEW.

Nivi smiled embarrassed

"Nandu told her he has placed pins on it" she told R&B

R&B chuckled

"Isne vi apni behno ke naak mein aise dam kara hua tha" Ranjan spoke wearily

II laughed hard

R&B grunted

"Nandu na madiri Appavum naugty ya? (was appa naughty like Nandu Anna) Nivi asked wide eyed

"Very" he told his daughter but looked at his wife
