She left for Amritsar 4 AM on Monday

She spent Sunday night wondering if she should let Ritu know about the ceremony and beg for a "last minute" time off request.

Her track record with Ritu had been patchy at best. She rehearsed the request conversation many times in her mind, and just couldnt bring herself to do it

She called Amma first on Sunday evening, Akka was asleep after nursing the baby.

I WANT TO DRESS HIM UP IN THE TIINYY SILK KURTA PAJAMA AND THE SILK TOPEE TO COVER HIS BALD HEAD

In Athim's opinion if II had stayed It would have been a Bhalla "Monopoly", with Sam and Ranjan and R&B and II all trying to "insinuate their wealth and snobbery" 

For Amma. Akka and II were an "Oligopoly" "Market dominated by two players"...

She wondered how to break the news to Akka now..
