After YJHD's record breaking run at the BO he was hailed and hyped as the new big superstar people even started to put him above HR and Akshay
However things didn't turn out the way we thought even though besharam took a huge opening despite lukewarm response to its promos it crashed and burned at the BO and the results were pretty embarrassing for the "NEW" superstar.

Aftermath of Besharam wasn't really bad as he had as many as 4 films planned to release in 2014. ROY JJ TAMASHA and BV

At the end none of these films got released each of the film got delayed and the release date got pushed back.

ROY and BV got released and both received with ill fate and burned really badly at the Boxoffice.BV is one the biggest disaster in hindi cinema and pushed me down the ladder. His next release Tamasha is pretty much on scheduled and the success of the film will dictate the fate of his next releases.Millions riding on him!!!

One thing very few realise is that there is a huge shortage of male stars in the industry. There is some reason why Shahid kapoor after giving so many disasters in his whole career is still able to get solo leads. There is a reason why a pathetic actor who knows no two things about acting Imran Khan got a movie after being out of industry for 2 good years and giving a chain of flops. There is a reason why ugly guy who in reality won't even score a constipation commercial Arjun Kapoor is playing lead in Balki film.
Ranbir is one of very few who can still pull the crowd. BV was an exceptional case. The trailer was very bad. People hardly could understand what any of these guys were saying. Ranbir can be back if he gets couple of good movies and become #4 easily.

Industry will give them chances all right just like they have been giving to Saif AB Shahid but are they anywhere to the top5? These actors will have work and will continue to survive even if they give flops after flops but wont ever reach the superstardom!!
Is too early to put him in that league but if he continue fail he might be the next Saifu good versatile actor with smaller fanbase

I wouldn't put him in Imran Khan's league. Imran Khan is way way way down, Atleast ranbir can act

No he cant be Saifu...Saifu didnt have mass appeal. He played second leads to other popular stars and got appeal among urban audiences. Then later he shifted to solo leads. But Ranbir has never done a multi starrer forget second leads. His appeal is like Aamir Khan's. Aamir also had lots of flops in the early part of his career. Atm Ranbir simply lacks the drive Aamir had.

aamir got some magic in him even after not turning up for years he comes back and give hits i don't know how did that in the early 2000s but he got a brand value now and it will never go away

this era is very different stars disappear from the horizon very easily ranbir got youth appeal which is not lasting it will soon disappear as the youth will move onto stars like varun and ranveer

Ranbir fans seem to be shifting to Varun. Ranbir will have to come back with good films and soon. Actually if Tamasha doesnt work it will really impact him. Films like JJ never work...then his next bet is only ADHM.

He has lost his charm on BO. His choices of picking poor movies ha cost him. Once touted nigger as khans is now not able to pull audience on BO also now.
