You are right its a simple straight forward story for the most part with no "spiritual symbolisms and such"
BUT, in the last chapter... I was actually referring to Maanvi's passing when I wrote about II wishing for miracles and was hoping for Periappa to suddenly get better. I am not the popular YHM reviewer that channeled Bhagwad Geeta to justify Raman Bhalla's alcoholism and verbal abuse of his wifeπ BUT
