Sky Lanterns- PART 1
She was sitting alone at the further most table of the cafe...isolated from others...looking outside through the glass wall... into the sky over the deck...
Everyday she waited for them..to come up into the sky...as the sun kissed the horizon..drowning into the sea...they would lit up the night with their shallow flickering lights...
His eyes were just on her...his lips... had a smile.. but a sad one...but he was happy... to see her...everyday...
His concentration was broken by a tap on the table...
He unwanted turned keeping his eye on her till the last minute...
Surprisingly..a young couple.. were looking down at him... the girl had her arms around her companion and an unpleasant took on her face...she nagged her fellow companion to speak...
"Sir I don't think...it's polite to stare at someone like that..." he spoke with a shaky voice... looking at Ram and then at the lady at the far table...
Ram lowered his face smiling and looked at the lady again...
He turned back at them...smiling...and tapped the hand of the young man...
Looking back towards the lady he spoke... "Don't worry young man...she is my wife...we have been married for 23 years now..." and looked back again at the couple...with the same still smile playing over his lips...
The girl looked embarrassed and went red on the cheeks...
"Oh! We are so sorry Sir..." the young man apologized on behalf of her...
But Ram continued looking at his lady...oblivious to his words...
"So is she angry on you...? you two had a fight?" the young lady could not control herself from asking this witnessing the love lingering in Ram's eyes...
"No...she just don't remember me.." words just fell out instantaneously as he continued to look at the most divine gift of life...
Realizing the short coming of his words...Ram averted his look and saw the girl...her face had a hint of empathy for him...
"I am Sorry..." Ram apologized...giving a pensive glance at her...
"Sir if you don't mind...can we ask what happened?" she replied...with warmth in her voice...
Ram looked at the girl surprisingly... and smiled in approval..
The two sat pulling a chair opposite him ready to listen to the fascinating love story they were about to encounter
Placing the cup on the balcony railing...Priya looked at the rain washed street...the twilight..just starting to mingle into the darkness...the Queens Necklace..washed by the strong gush of Arabian Sea lived up to its name...
She took another sip of her hot ginger tea..with a hint of lime... nothing would make her feel fresh...than this after the day of toiling to set up her apartment...
She smiled..15days and life has already made its way into this new city...

The gown ran from her right shoulder to her body's length... showing off her left arm...white and soft...
The gown fitted her slender body just right into its curves...with the little silvery embroidered patters of flower...adding to her gleam...
The skirt of the gown would sway like a Christmas bell as she moved... and that was the best thing that she liked about the dress...
Jimmy was waiting for her... outside the ball room...
He was her high school friend... and had been a great help since the time she moved to Mumbai... he also helped her get a job at the caf he worked...he too moved in with his grandmother Martha two years back who had been living here since the time she could recall...
