Mountains of chocolate
She stayed awake until after midnight, walking over to the balcony to sit on the swing, the wall intercom buzzed
"Koi baat hui madam?" the guard asked from the gate
"Nahi... sorry... kuch nahi" she mumbled
"sorry" he apologized
The motion sensor lights came on, down stairs, for her protection...
Manny and Vik's car drove up inside the gate, she got off and waved...
"U are up?" want to join us for a night cap?" Manya texted
"Nahi... sorry I was talking to Akka, we fought so" II lied
"Niice" Manya sent a wink
R&B texted Ranjan "Did she accept the gift?"
Ranjan sent a smiley "she scolded me a lot"
"Oh really?" why?" asked R&B a lil jealous
"I did not tell her where I was all day" Ranjan texted
R&B half smiled
"and?" R&B texted
"I was getting my annual physical puttar" Ranjan said
There was a longish pause "Is everything OK?" R&B asked
"Pink" Ranjan joked (of health)
Began to talk about his wife and he ended up asking his Dad the first time in 5 years, how his physicals went
"Is she awake?" R&B asked
"Not sure, I can send Mahavir" Ranjan offered
"Please dont" R&B declined
Manya texted R&B... so he got distracted
"Good nite" R&B texted Ranjan
"Yes.. yes... you too puttar" Ranjan said
Beaming a big flashing smile
R&B called II... she didnt answer... turned the ringer down
"are u awake?" he asked
"NO!" she said

He called her three times after... she didnt respond
Texted Naina and asked her what her plans were for Friday...
Mihir teased her about being "out of the cage", as Naina called her
"umm ya... I need my social interaction... he needs his mountains" she mumbled
"Is he going hiking?" Mihir asked
"Shaayad... hiking on a bike? mountaineering on a bike?" II tried to act flippant
"Ladey kya aap dono" he asked, astute
"Nahi" II said calmly "Aap log kahin ja rahey ho Fri? Sat?"
"arey nahi... bhabhi.. Naina wants to do a class of some sort" Mihir shuddered
"Bhabhi?" II mumbled
"U know Bhai's wife?" Mihir laughed
"I dont talk to u much, so havent heard much"
"U said it" Mihir teased
"Kahan lekar chalogey aap?" she asked
"Aaap batao, chalte hain wahin" Mihir said
"Naina ko poochti hoon then we can" Ii said
"Is everything OK bhabhi?" Mihir asked
"Haan kyon?"
"Umm nahi aapne mujhe raat ke 12 text kiya" Mihir chucckled
"Naina ko kiya" Ii went on the defensive
"True" Mihir laughed

Wed at Noonish, Mrs Sagar IMed her "I may have something for u"
She went up... to find an array of truffles/fudge in a tray... with lil scarps explaining what it contained
II's face broke into big smile "This is like a dream come true" she whispered
Lowering her fingers over 5 of them before picking the 6th one...
"OMG!!! SO YUMMY" she gushed, the rasperry filling leaking from her lower lip
"AND I NEED A BIB" II laughed
"Mrs Sagar gave her her box of kleenex "I knew u wud enjoy that"
"THANK YOU, aap kitney achhe ho" II gushed
"Ur husband doesnt care for chocolates"
"Give one to him in the shape of a mountain" Ii said
Mrs Sagar stared
AYYYO!!! GREAT!!!

II reached for one that said "espresso" and slowly savored it
"I had a 1 PM, and a 3 PM.. I can come back at 2 and eat more
"This is all for u" Mrs Sagar said
"NOOO!!Thats like offering an addict a job at the meth lab" II laughed hysterically
Ritu and the IS guy walked by out of Ranjan's room
Ritu paused when she heard her laugh
Mrs Sagar placed the uneaten ones carefully back in the 5 star pastry shop's box.. in the spot where the description was, using tongs
"Hey, would u like some truffle?" Ii asked warmly
"I am sorry I dont like sweets... Mr Bhalla just discovered, he was apologetic" Ritu said
"Really?" "what else is left to eat, in the world?" Ii asked seriously
Ritu gave her a strange look and smiled later "IKR" "I cant tolerate sugar" "I stuck to the yummy sandwiches he ordered"
II nodded dolefully
the IS honcho had one... and nodded and walked away
Mrs Sagar handed her the box, II accepted it with a smile
Emad came for Mrs Sagar, she waved "Come see me every day" she ordered II
"Jee zaroor" Ii said
"He seems happy with Ghzb and Dilshad Garden, IS is done training the cashiers the fallout is low, so we are good to deploy in two more" Ritu said smugly
II nodded...
"I would have approached Gurgaon workshop and showroom differently" Ritu said
II just looked on as they waited for the elevator
"There is a thing abt first impression... I think they must have the worst opinion about our product performance" Ritu declared
"Maybe... but Gurti, Mr B and Bally agreed" II explained
"they are not the "Deployment experts" right? we are... they hire us so we can tell them" Ritu coached her
II bristled for the first time in a week

"Umm its a lil more complicated than that... they had way more parts
tables than the SW is capable of mapping to... they sell parts from 40 manufacturers at the Gurgaon workshop... they absolutely would not allow any HW upgrades, we were working with nothing to begin with" II explained softly
"Well.. we could have had Ashwini's team shadow the cashiers for a week at the workshop, that's a definite slip" Ritu said all knowingly
II felt hot and bothered...
She just read the lettering on the box of truffles
They got off at 7th...
"Is Mrs Sagar ur friend?" Ritu asked smiling
"Not quite... she is very pleasant" Ii said
"She seems very serious and reserved to me" Ritu said as they parted ways at the end of II's row

Thursday morning...
He sent her a scanned image of a book mark she must have left at the Paris apartment, coz she knew every book mark she owned
Kissing burns 6.4 calories... wanna burn some?
She went to the sun room chest of drawer and took a picture of one and sent it
"Butt Id rather not" at the edge of it was squishy rubber butt cheeks
"Can I have u for breakfast in bed today?" he sent another one
"I am a lil behind" with yet another squishy butt on the end (still brushing my teeth)
"I licked it, so its mine"
"U crack me up" she sent the third butt bookmark in response
