Geek & the Gudiya
When they got home, it was after 11, Ranjan was relaxing in the swing the coolers were blasting in the patio
He extended a hand she reached for it and sat by him..."He brought me home on a bike" she gushed
He smiled nodding
"shabaash" he complimented out loud
R&B lingered
"he took me to modern barakhamba"
Ranjan's eyes lit up reminiscing simpler times
"Dekha class?" he asked
She nodded
"teeno wahin gaye" he said proudly as if he was meeting Ii for the first time
She smiled
She took her phone out and showed him pictures she took of the lobby and class rooms
"Dekhe iske award?" he asked
"I think they moved some stuff out to make room for current kids'" R&B said
"Har saal iska koi na koi award... kabhi to do ya teen.. shaitaan bhi par padhai mein best" Ranjan said proudly
R&B looked on embarrassed
Mahavir asked him for a drink "I had three glasses of wine.. Mahavir aap paani laayenge please?" he asked
"Aapko khaana?" he asked II
"Umm nahi maine chow mein khaayi aaj" she smiled
"sir ne aaj khichri aur raita banwayi" he pointed
"WHAT HAPPENED?" Ii asked panicking
"I am an old man betaji" he smiled weakly leaning back
"Why didnt u call me? When I texted u at 4 U sounded OK" II worried
"Garmi bahut hai.. ek aandhi bhi aa jaaye mausam sahi ho jaaye puttar, us ek aandhi ka intezaar hai... "
he looked up at the muggy night skies... holding everything within day after day night after night
She looked up too... though suspecting he meant something deeper
R&B sat across from him in the rattan chair
Almost all the lights inside were lit... Mahavir was visible walking up from a distance
"Jayin puttar so jaayin?" he asked
"Are u sure u are OK?" she asked
He nodded not answering
"We all have a purpose in this world puttarji... when its over it will be our time to go"
She began to cry...
R&B looked away...
"Tu to mera bahadur beta hai... kaise karega meri rakhwali puttar?" he tapped her shoulders fondly
"I WONT BECAUSE NOTHING'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO U" she ordered
"Chaliye aapki farmaan official kar dete hain" he smiled with tears in his eyes
She leaned on his shoulder
"I am stalking u from now on" she mumbled
"Bahut boring ho jaani hai phir to aapki life" he chuckled
"I dont care" she said
"Subah yoga, phir nashta, phir chhotey ke ghar se usko lete hue Gurgaon, showroom workshop... saara din bhaag daud... aur raat ko Mahavir ke haath ek whisky
aur phir khaana" he laughed
"That sunds great" she said
"Chaliye phir" he nodded offering his hand for a shake
She shook his long and hard and gave him a hug...
"Ja gudiya ja... so jayin beta" he ordered
She smiled when she said gudiya
"He will now mock me" she sniffled pointing to her husband
"Dekh beta baat saaf hai, ghar mein tu hai sabse chhoti... Chache ke bete vi tere se vadde haingey ney" "Tey to tu hui na gudiya?" he asked
She nodded...
"Haan tu jaldi mujhe gudiya laakar de phir tujhe gudiya nahi kahoonga" he demanded "yaad hai mera condition?"
II nodded feebly
"Bus jee phir tey theek hai..." he nodded hugging her back
"did u need another drink?" R&B asked his Dad
"Laayin puttar" he said smiling
R&B fixed his Dad's brand and handed to him followed his wife
she had showered and changed into jammies and capri, she sat on the couch staring at the powered off TV
He sat by her... she cuddled tight...
"Gudiya?" he teased
Shut up" she ordered
He pushed her down sliding over... the glint in his eyes
"U were a geek too" she mocked thinking of all the awards he seems to have gotten for academics
"(I am)Not one anymore?" he asked
"No" she whimpered as he nibbled on her ear... squirming under the warm ticklish breath
"U think I am afraid of Appa?" he asked amused reminded of her threat about keeping her safe
"U better be" she whispered
"what do u think he would do" he asked bending down on his wife
"He would punch you... and pummel u like Salman Khan" she whispered
He pushed her cami up..
"And U would like that?" he asked pausing on her ribs
"A lot" she gasped...
When she was on top... she rolled his tee up.. and found red welts on his belly where her choora had scored into his skin through his tee
She bent down and kissed it softly... "I had no idea" she said apologetic
Rubbing his belly...
"while u are at it" he offered his shin where he had the skate board injury
She bent and kissed
"the gas tank was too close to my ---- between my legs" he began
She kicked and punched as he tried to tackle her
He took her hand and left it in her vicinity she buried her face on his chest and let her hand wander
"So he thinks u are an Iyer warrior too" he muttered kissing her head
She lay by him on the side, they cuddled "How convenient for u" she hissed
He kissed her cheek firmly his lips sinking
"I am taking Dad and going to D II" she said
"U will be fine" he said stiffening
Thats the last thing he wanted... Mrs Iyer manipulating her
"So I am supposd to sleep on the bed the next 30 years all by myself?" she asked
"A little over, I am hoping to return by your 60th" he said softly... letting his hand wander under her jammies
"Gee thanks!! but I think I will probably be on my world tour with Beckham" she bit his ear... letting his hand find whatever it wanted
He stopped to listen to her moan and continued
