The beauty of the Taj Mahal is something that has mesmerized visitors from not only India, but also from across the globe.

And, it is this iconic landmark of love that forms the backdrop for the new TV show 'Thapki...Pyaar Ki', which airs every Monday to Saturday at 7 pm on Colors.

As the story of Thapki, a young girl who stammers, unfolds, the show ventures into the bylanes of Agra. It brings alive the city's quaint culture, marvellous architecture, and lip-smacking food. The team bonded over conversations and delicacies like papdi chaat, pav bhaji, pethas and barf ka gola. Agra's lanes, bazaars and the heritage havelis feature prominently in the show. The show was also shot near river Yamuna, Taj Ganj, the Matarani Temple, cantonment area, railway station and the Sadar Bazaar.

Says Jigyasa, "Taj Mahal is the epitome of eternal love. I would visit the Taj Mahal in the night many times to catch a glimpse of its ethereal beauty by the moonlight. The experience was surreal. My favourite catchphrase is Taj Mahal ki Kasam. I even clicked sunrise and moonlight shots of the Taj."
