Bangalore Days is being remade in Telugu and Tamil separately. Nithya is doing the Telugu version and Sridivya, does the same role in Tamil. Rana is paired with Sridivya in Tamil and Sharwanand pairs up with Nithya in Telugu version.

Oh.. I thought it was a bilingual.. I'm skeptical about the whole remake of this movie. With Nithya on board now, I'll wait for the Telugu version.

That's bad news for Mahesh. His last couple of films failed and now he is releasing his next flick a week after Bahubali, for which people have been waiting for nearly one year. Also, it's Prabhas first release after 2 long years. Many are craving to watch him on the big screen. Bad move Mahesh! 😛

But #mahesh21 confirmed their release date way ahead. Baahubali team kept changing the release dates from may to june to july. Yet mahesh has nothing to worry because his fanbase is enormous. I don't think there exists any person in the telugu states who know the language and not know Mahesh 😆

Within India it is Telugu film industry which is far bigger than Tamil film industry (WW its Tamil). A big Telugu film releases in 1000+ theaters in AP where as the max theaters a big Tamil film can release is 500 in TN.

It is also the reason why all kinds of movies are watched in Telugu by the audience. The exhibitors just need feeding regularly for these huge numbers of theaters they have. Tamil, Hindi, English, Malayalam, Kannada everything is dubbed and if the film is good they do well. But if there is a big Telugu film obviously it is the first choice.

...and the Telugu film released for Sankranthi did well compared to I, openings or final run. Both were underwhelming eventually.

Agree. Although quality wise Tamil is a much better platform, I can for sure say Telugu film industry has more filmgoers who love to watch films no matter which language if the story is appealing. Tamil industry has it's second big market in AP and Telangana. Even here in the US more Telugu films are released than Hindi films even and ofc many more films than Tamil.

Mahesh does have a huge following but then again his last two films were duds...the excitement around his films has come down, whereas the hype around Baahubali is extremely high. Rajamouli, Prabhas-Anushka, The making videos. I still think it's not a good idea to release his film around Bahubali. It's a huge risk. 😛
