Right from the Manny-II interactions (especially how forced Manny's niceness seems) to the family dining together to the little II-R&B interactions interspersed throughout.
But, especially Lasya... that baby won my heart and my respect today...
She's got her own brand of justice against her Mausi, eh?

So sweet. She's behaving like II's armour.
R&B avala nalla coach pannirukkan.
(Your darling child is a mischevious one, di... She's exactly like her Mama. Once she saw #MannyTheMeanie, she didn't leave her Chithi's arms. ... R&B has coached her well.)


P.S: On a side note... I think I've found Lasya... My mentor's daughter is a completely adorable, chubby little mischievous doll, she's like a little rasgulla (I so wanted to bite her cheeks the first time I saw her)... Some day, my mentor will let me carry her (or even just take a photo), and that day... 😈 (leaving it unfinished. I will not implicate myself further). Ashu has already given me her solemn promise to help me execute that plan.

Ashu is in Hyderabad abhi...
She has limited data... Roaming pe jo hai...
And she's busy catching up with all the things she missed in Hyd while she was in Guw...

Wow! what a lovely update.. SO SO REAL. hota hai aisa hota hai.. its not about wrong and right here at all, its about how people feel in their designated spaces. What Manny is feeling is quite justified and so are II's feelings and Ranjan's  for that matter but  that doesnt stop the friction from happening because the feelings though justified are competing with each other. 

I particularly liked Namratha's line "Both are insecure, Manya demands her place by being arrogant, II expects it by being affectionate"

Anu I understand your POV about Manya wanting to be addressed as Maasi but II is not attempting to ususrp her place ille? It was a harmless tag for the relationship based on what she is for Shravu.

In my random search for songs today, I came across this. I am absolutely in love with it! The lyrics...they are absolutely perfectly fitting for Ranjan and Savita.

Vik again dozed off on the couch, she helped clean up... like she always did at D II, ate her dessert in between ...in the kitchen, he wandered in with Lasya held in his arms
Lasya wore a polka dotted sleeveless shorts and cami for bed... her chunky dimpled arms smooth as butter, her hair all over her face like Uncle R's😳
She washed rinsed sand dried her hands as he ate off her bowl walking over

The baby itching her face pushing her longish curls away

"People pay big bucks to get their hair curled like this onakku natural curls... IVLAV CURLS"☺️ (so curly) CUTENESS" she cooed as she
gathered it all removed her lil sparkly scuncie gripped it between her teeth and deftly and tied one big fountain on top of her head,
he watched fascinated how practised and effortless her moves were...
Lasya gritted her rice grain like teeth unable to express
"Ondi ma... what happened kanna? Are u upset, u want to come to me? Vareya? I will show u dishwasher and 3 THREE SINK FAUCETS, ellam fountain madiri (like ur hair)" she giggled

He gently handed her, she got a kitchen tour faucet demo, exhaust demo... every giant frig was opened... she shook as the cold draft of air hit her face

He watched amused as she entertained her so simply😳
Brought her back to her destination, handing her back ..when she was done she squished the chubby cheeks pressing it all the way to Uncle R's chest

II left lipstick stains on her cheek... "CUTIE... enakku kudu onnu" (gimme one)

He bent down and gently grabbed her lipstick smudged lips, in a full kiss, with tongue and all

She looked on startled at what he was doing to her Mami and controrted her face and began to cry

"Like this peanut" he taught his niece... "This is Uncle R's fave kiss"
She reached and grabbed his lower lip, wiping it off with her thumb... "Are u masking the Bourbon with rasmalai?" she chuckled
He bent down and inhaled her neck, "I guess" he groaned... tired

"Good food II" he said gently

"Dont... u hated the makhani"

He rubbed his chin on her shoulder... like he was scraping dust off a wall

"Save it chollu da, save it... Mami doesnt need any compliments from u. " Ii taught her

She cooed watching II's lips move with rapt attention
She reached for II's sparkling diamond on her nose, and caught it... "Thats MY KINDA baby... she knows her stuff" II chuckled

"Lets go to bed" he nuzzled as Mahavir turned from the sink, she gave him a finger kangi

"I am sweaty and greasy... I have to shower" "U take her up I am on my way" "I bet Manny will understand" II offered


"I might have a new grease fightin soap" he muttered softly

"I used it, it just makes me want to use it every hour" she quivered, smiling

"Go out da... take her... I am almost done" she ordered

"They will do it II" he insisted

"I know... I am just being a pest" "they will soon ban me" she said smiling

He left with the baby, she cleaned up... and went out Vik was upstairs, she wanted to ask if they needed anything...

Ranjan and her were looking at something on the ipad, her hubs was nowhere in sight

The nanny talked on the phone in the front lawn...

"Bahar garmi hai aap andar baat karlo? Sun room mein ya aur kamre mein?" she offered

"Bhabhiji apni mummy se lad rahi hoon" she chuckled

"Amen!" II smiled

"Lasya kahan hai?" she asked Ranjan and Manya

"Hey u dont have to do anything itne saare log hai Dad ke paas" she said

"Its the only thing I do back home at D II... finding tiny katoris or containers for leftover food is very therapeutic for me" II giggled

Manny looked at her strangely

"Gaaogey beta?" Ranjan asked

"She just came Dad I bet she wants to hang out" II said

Manya didnt protest, and insist she sing... II noticed

"Umm aapko kuch chahiye to main help karoon?" Ii asked

"OMG!! she is too formal Dad" Manya laughed out loud as if II cracked a joke

"Beta she is trying to help" Ranjan was offended

"Oh! I know... I get it... but Ishita I WAS HERE A MONTH AGO... TWO MONTHS AGO?" she waved two fingers

"Umm I know... I am sorry" II mumbled

"I probably know whats in every closet in each of the 24 rooms" Manny said proudly

II nodded wimpishly

"I am hoping I can go to work tomorrow, if I dont see u in the morning I will see u at night?" she asked

"Beta... no if he has said no... it means no" Ranjan ordered

"OFCOURSE U WILL, Abhi I was talking to Sam... I told her I am here now... kuch plan kar"  "Dad I will be here until u kick me out"

"Betaji, na beta na... aisi gallan na kar puttar" Ranjan became senti

Manny basked in the glow...

"Yes that would be so much fun... I cant wait" II jumped  "If u can be here "

II... WILL SHE EVER LEARN?
SHE JUST GOT SNUBBED
NOPE!!!


"Ummm ya... lets see when she can get away from the trials of a joint family existence" Manny sniggered

"Its not that bad... mera matlab... umm.. Akka bhi rehti hai... even Amma Appa.. so now for me"

"Dad is a TEDDY BEAR" Manya reminded her

II nodded CLUELESS about what to say to her even... Manny had a snappish, defensive answer for everything

"Ya he is amazing"II nodded... a lil hurt

"Beta... jao so jao... I can take Lasya home" he coaxed II

"Arey AISE kaise? I AM TAKING her home.. when Vik wakes up... her him and I have a night cap date with Tan and Sam" Manya giggled

She knew II had the week off, yet did not invite her

She went up to find Uncle R and lasya curled up on the recliner by the bed fast asleep, she lay face down on his chest sprawled like a polka dotted flower her juddu/fountain was undone, he held the sparkly scuncie on his fingers

She gently took it and gathered up his hair and made a giant fountain on his head, like lil Sikh kids.
She kneeled by the chair and ogled...  removed the scuncie off his hair, tousled it...
picked up Lasya's fat clenched fist, and inserted her finger... the baby was unmoved...
She grabbed a blanket from the bed and draped them...both

Went to take a shower... returned to find them  still asleep

She gently picked up Lasya, as Manny and the nanny made their way up...

Lasya woke shivering, getting chills from the AC... she wrapped her in a throw off the upholstered chair

Manya looked around the dark moonlit room

"Its not blue any more?" she asked looking at the orange pattern on the sheets

"No" II said nervously

they left...

Lets go to bed, she curled up where Lasya lay on him moments ago

"Lets go to bed" she urged
He pulled the blanket securely over them...

Manny walked in "Oops! sorry, did she leave her teether?" she asked... taking in II's appearance, the
skimpy shorts and the cami... her braid sliding to the front... her choora filled wrists...

II fell off the chair in embarrassment... found the pink water filled ring under her foot...
R&B was unfazed...

"I am sorry I stepped on it" II whispered

"No... its OK" manny said
Walking away without smiling...

 

Awesome update...Nisha, I don't know how you write these updates so realistically.  The discomfort, feeling out of place, I really feel for II.  👏  II, Lasya, and R&B are so cute together!!!!
