Umpiring & Escape Route
They left Sam's soon after, he held her hand, as she walked behind him, arms length, "I havent even seen her today" II complained
"NANDU kidhar hai?"

"How come no one told me"

"I umpired it last year" II said proudly
"YOU?" asked Sam
"Kyon? I am TALL I can see, and umm.. I know most of the cricket rules, the boys bully me when I dont know some" she giggled
He tugged
"Abhi nahi" she said
"sit for a while, eat you guys?" Sam offered
Tan: Did u see what the Swiss government did?
They talked about some politics overseas
He held her hand the whole time
"I am not going to run away" she reported him to Sam
"Umm... haan I agree" Sam lied
"I am bummed they didnt tell me the about the match"
"Its only league sweetie, finals is in May after session ends"
"u know more about this than I DO?" II was shocked

"I have three and 4th on the way" Ii reminded
"How clever nahi?" Sam clapped
"I cant have kids now... Bally moved on, aapko maloom hai na, she told you last weekend... abhi main akeli navigate kar rahi hoon, on deployment side, SW side there is Ashwini" II lamented
"Ashwini has kids?" Sam asked
"Twins and a girl" Ii said, "TOO CLOSE TOGETHER 18 months and 6 months or something, like she couldnt wait to "start doing it again after the babies" II sniggered
"HOW MEAN!" Sam smacked her

"Koi sach baat nahi hai, you go without in the last trimester and tell me how long YOU LAST MISSY" Sam whispered
"So are u saying u started the three weeks after you delivered?" she asked shocked
"ABHI TO ZIPPP, get pregnant, phir saare details exchange karenge" Sam giggled
"Jaane de yaar inko" Tan prodded her, showing II some memes
"Maine kaha roka, pehle yeh nahi jaana chahti thi, ab yeh nahi ja raha. JA BHAI!" she ordered
He hugged her "thanks for not sending Dad to get her, she wouldnt have gone"
He smiled nodding... II let go of his hand to hold Tan's phone
"HOW do u do it?" "MUJHSE to bilkul nahi maani woh" Sam asked in awe
He smiled again...
Sam went on her toes, and kissed his cheek softly, and tousled his hair... "cutie!" she wiped lipstick off
"Is she wearing the same color?" Sam asked sheepishly
II wasnt paying attention "I dont think she is wearing any now" he said
"Please yaar usko daatna mat, lets call it a day, Dad spoke with Manny, I will too khaana khaakar, isko baqsh de, bahut royi yaar" Sam was upset "Promise me, Promise me"
Sam insisted
"are u her legal counsel" R&B chuckled
She punched him "Jerk!! Be nice to her, one word from me and she wont go home with you"
"Khaana bhi nahi khaaya usne, go home eat and hit the sack yaar" Sam ordered "Tamashe kam hai is ghar mein ab yeh bhi involve ho rahi hai?"
"Its Manny's doing, she exacerbated it" R&B said cynically
"Ek to mujhe Manny ka over protectiveness towards you samajh nahi aata" Sam was angry
He nodded...
"i am going to ask her to back off, she wont bat an eyelid she will walk away u know" Sam looked at II
"Dad texted, he was hungry so he ate, ja kha" Sam said
tan looked at her fondly and was advising her" sh sh rona nahi bilqul bhi" he was ordering
She was nodding politely
"Kal come over after work and play with lasya all night" Tan hugged her
"Ask him not to come" Ii ordered
"Pati aapka hai aap kaho" he chuckled
R&B walked over and took her left hand "I am inside the house" she protested
Tan: Baaqi ki ladai kal... haan?
He laughed out loud
Sam hugged her and they walked out to wave,
II sat in the car reluctantly
She shut her eyes, arms across her chest...
he pulled into the gate, she sat there for a while and then walked in, as she took her sandals off, he punched various keys on the wall security system's console
"Mujhe bhaagna ho to main disable karke bhaag sakti hoon" she said
He nodded
She punched keys leading up to disablement... AND... SET THE ALARMS OFF
The guards, the help and Ranjan ran down..

R&B leaned on the wall and watched with amusement
Ranjan attempted to keep a straight face...
"Umm Dad I was trying to enable it" II lied

"Do beta... batao Ishita ko" he ordered
He walked over and punched a series of options, and keys "Vendaam" she mutteredfor his ears only
They stood staring at the console, till all left
Ranjan came back "come and eat" he ordered
She nodded, turning to R&B "Can I walk to the kitchen by myself?"
"Umm... NO" HE SAID
Placing an arm around her waist... and following her
Ranjan chuckled
"Can I eat in the backyard?" she asked
"No! its too hot" he said
"Paani pi sakti hoon?" she asked
"Uh" he grunted
II was famished she ate without another word, the help made the best phulkas...
ate her dessert SLLLOWLY
"Mujhe kal lunch mein denge pulao aur kofte?" she reserved tomm's lunch
Minion smiled happily... "kuch aur bhi bana denge"
"Nahi itna saara hai, yehi kaafi hai" she said
He drank wine, she didnt
He took a call, she went up, took her clothes off showered, brushed..., changed into lounge shorts and a cami... hid the clothes
tied a bunch of dupattas together end to end and tied it to the sun room balcony rail 😈
Left a pair of her new kolhapuris by the edge...
And went and hid in a (new) room on the ground floor
she hadnt even opened the doors until tonight... shut the lights out... it was a lounge, with sofas and a twin bed... she lay face down and began to relax
An hour? half hour must have gone by... she dozed, he stood by her bedside when she turned...
"Next time, dont leave footwear, since you dont wear any at home" 🤣he bent and picked her up, as she shrieked
