this is too much of a stretch for a middle class family , she gave 10 lakhs but why should appa /amma have to pay for the extravagent wedding all by themselves.
Infact in my brothers wedding my dad paid for the concert ,2 sarees and my mom bought the vessels for my SIL cause they were going to the US and my SIL was the oldest of the 3 ,it was just out of good will.

I fully agree, why not they should foot the tab in half, thats why II left her life's earnings for Appa

She has too much pride to take the Dude's moolah, she doesnt want Appa to spend

right i agree the wrath of the father /daughter combo and i think she did give 9+ lakhs so the rest hopefully wont pinch appa so much ,does he know she left it for him? i think he is going to cry most after she gets married 😭. I am not going to disturb you further ..

I seize the moment...

I like it ott in movies and all, im not interested in real life being played on screen, i wld want der clothes and dialogues believable to some extent...but a dash of drama is also required...

The way RB that afternoon walked into II's room ignored Appa closed the door was the drama...

I want 3 daughters like you was I love you

I like it like that atleast in stories...

Real life...i dont knw man...

All this is an escape from real life for me...

And i dont excpect escape to be like real life i hv no issues with rich poor settings... Its ohk...although they dont make many of these... With time love stories uv moved beyond that with different settings...

And desi tv well they were not made for moral teachings... And they hv an audience base where maybe such things are believable or where ppl are ohk watching... Who am i to complain...i just use the remote...

And if one is disillusioned they have themselves to blame ...blaming it on tv, movies, books is too easy an escape...enjoyment is not taught in schools and we have choice on what form we want...we cant blame it for our life choices...

Real life is fighting delhi-ncr traffic day night...working ur ass off and then wondering why xyz got the promotion and not me...why do these engineers clear all exms...will ever be a post grad...wen wil i loose weight... Can my parents forget talking marriage for nxt 5 yrs... This is just not me, its a lot of youth in this country...no one gives too much damn for love...aaj hai kal nahi, watevr...iv other priorities in life rt now...

And those kinds ur talking abt are the ones that make news and so you hear more abt thone... there are many more who just exist in very normal relationships, with lots love...the words ilu...i never said the exact thing is of ultimate importance...but there needs to be some expression which is personal to each one...

Thanks Anu for a lovely note yesterday.🤗 I had a big smile reading and felt "Loved".

Between now I want at least one Iyer bride 😊 the rituals sounds so beautiful. And she might like did Indian jewelry. That's my biggest fear as I have no daughter, who will I give my stuff. 😆 If they marry non indian 😲

Many people have chimed beautifully about love.i feel like adding my thought but Can't type much, I have fever yet again. I hate being sick. Will see a doc tomorrow now , my throat is acting up now🤢The boys are on the roll as no school and just my luck no sitters are not willing to step out on a snow day😭.

So looking forward to the wedding now. 😃

Thanks for sharing Taara, fully agree we all need the dose of dreams/fantasy/aspirational elements

I know real life is extremely harsh and brutal, we escape it however best we can. I fully agree people that believe in movies and soaps have no one else to blame but themselves... if their life is ruined.

India or US, trying to achieve success is extremely difficult. We find little enclaves so that we can escape reality on a daily basis...

I am all for cutesy stuff too as long as people dont start depending on them or assume its real.

Jaya Bachhan's daughter in law dances with her father in law set to the tunes of Kajra Re wearing a outifit like a hooker. And then gets in her limo and goes off to her Juhu mansion escorted by armed guards.

Jaya Bachhan goes to the Parliament and gives a rabble rousing bhashan on why the Nirbhaya rapist should be handed to her so she can deliver justice. Nevermind the fact that her daughter in law''s risque Kajra Re song may have been playing on the bus as he raped her

And then Bollywood will tell us "Its ONLY entertainment stupid!" Why do u guys think its even real?"

I am so sorry, hope you feel better soon Shevane😭 I can only imagine how cold it must be. Boys are home and you are sick? Is your hubs back from his trip? Do u have any neighbors where they can go to for a few hours?😲

can you explain the point with example a bit more...i doubt if i got it completely...but only if it does not cost us an update or else everyone will hang me ;)

Thats so cute, that's love. My husband took a day off yesterday but had to go today some meeting, will be back early evening. Snow is being pounded there, I miss city living on the day like today, just knock your neighbor, here asking someone to walk over is not feasible, it's a Uphill and downhill houses & long driveway. 🤢 Forcing myself to drink water. He has marked the bottles that should be finished by evening😭.

I THINK A LONG UPDATE WILL MAKE Me Better😆
