for tolerating 1 more weekend stupidity frm my side, after a long time. 😳 When I heard this 'Ek Villain' song I felt that this song lyrics beautifully portrayed Rudra's feeling for Paro.

He was, but a child... a boy who doted on his mother... who, like every child would, wished to grow up in the love and care of his mother.

Yet, for reasons best known to her, she abandoned her son one day, not realizing that this one act of hers would destroy the child... would scar this young lad for life... that he would never be able to trust... never be able to love... never be able to live his life.

He waited for his mother to return, writing notes to her, he knew would never reach her... he promised to be an obedient child, if only she would come back to him... all he ever wanted was to keep his head on his mother's lap, as she moved her fingers over his forehead, singing that song, taking away from him all the hurt, the pain, the anguish. But she did not come... days, months and years passed, his mother never came for him.

And then was born the Rudra that we all know... devoid of any emotions... harsh... egoistic.

Rudra hates it when anyone says he resembles his mother. The pain resurfaces whenever he is taunted. He is in pain and he never opens up to anyone, not even to the one he visits every night. But then, he knows, she, like others would not ever understand him. She is just his need, nothing more than that and he has made it clear to her.

So he continues bearing his pain, without letting the wound heal.

He covers it with the ointment of hatred for women. Even today, Rudra misses his mother, misses her voice, her loving touch, her presence in his life. Only his ego does not let him accept it.

He wants the world to think he has moved on... his mother means nothing to him. Yet, when he sees her picture in the Thakur's haveli, he is shattered... his pain returns and his eyes brim with tears... a human he is after all... much as he may not want to admit, he feels pain...

But, there comes a time in life, when the pain and hurt becomes unbearable. And that is when, in life, comes that one person, whom destiny intends to be THE ONE...

the one who gives solace, who soothes the pain, who washes the wound and applies the ointment of love and understanding.

Paro was the one, who came into Rudra's life at this point, when his pain was becoming unbearable for him. Rudra is slowly realizing her importance in his life as he opens up to her... tells her of his past...

the truth and identity of his mother. For Rudra, it is probably the time to come home... from wandering aimlessly, to rid of his pain, his hurt... come home to his wife... Paro.

Rudra has now started realizing, that there is another side to life, which can be present in his life too... the side of love, of belonging. Much as he tried to convince himself to the contrary, Paro's existence taught him all that he never wanted to even think about.

He snaps at her, but cools down soon enough to apologize... he throws a tantrum... expecting Paro to pay heed to him. And most importantly, Rudra has learnt to smile... from his heart.

He now feels her pain... he now soothes her hurt heart... Rudra is changing ...

...for he is in love with Paro... and love changes everyone for the better... Rudra is no exception.😳

Lovely post, Joseph. This song suits Rudra's condition perfectly. Abandoned by his mother at a young age, Rudra is a wanderer, unknown to him, on a lookout for some peace. he gets it nowhere until Paro enters his life. Lovely pics, matching the lyrics so well.
