Prologue
Today - was the first day of all her tomorrows.
Her tear-drenched eyes, looked up out the splintered-wooden window frame, as the thought crossed her mind. And it was in that moment that she began to take in the beautiful corner of the of the hot Rajistan desert she had called home so all these years.
She closed her eyes as her fingers traced her still empty maang , where the heavy bridal tikka hung as if in an attempt to hide it from being filled with the dash of sindoor, which would finally end all those childish hopes and dreams she had nurtured: which would finally force her to accept, that he was never coming back.
A lone silver tear trekked down the expanse of her flushed pink cheek, as if caressing her the wayhe had once, not too long ago.
Paro, dragged in a ragged breath of air, her thumb carefully wiping away the very existence of that errant tear, as if even his very memory was too much for her to handle.
Then again, perhaps, it was.
