Is The Buddy Project straying away from it's ORIGINAL concept??

I've been an avid and loyal viewer of The Buddy Project from it's very first episode. Though I've never posted anything on the forum, after a lot of thinking, I've decided to post on something important today.

Is TBP straying away from it's original concept?? That's the question I'm asking everyone here and I would like to state my points for this question as well.

Honestly, I've never had any complaints with TBP up until now. They've always maintained a good progress among all the characters, the relationship between each character and the track as a whole. But I feel as if this has changed the past few months. I notice that the show is stuck on the same misunderstandings between Kiya and KD, Rukmini's constant annoying sarcastic remarks towards Ranveer and Panchi *sorry for the Rukmini fans out here* and Piddi's *at times borderline disgusting* tactics to get a girlfriend.

I mean what happened to THE BUDDY PROJECT??? We don't see Jaitley anymore neither do we see Avi and Omi. What happened to the rivalry between the Chillars and Dhakkans?? What happened to The Buddy Project that Jaitley started to dissolve the rivalry?? What happened to the buddies sticking together even though such a partition exist in college?? None of this is shown in the show anymore !!

I was so looking forward to seeing more from Jaitley but I guess Manav is busy with his other show and the CVs have just taken his character for granted thinking that we'll continue watching just the buddies. Obviously the show does revolve around the buddies but Jaitley was an important role then and should still be now as he is the mentor who guides them.

I was also looking forward to seeing how the buddies would slowly influence Omi and Avi to end their rivalry and stand united as one student body. It would have been so interesting to see how Ranveer and KD's friendship could have influenced the other students to not divide themselves as the rich and the poor, how KD's relationship with Kiya would have shown that love does cross any boundary, even one of status.

The only hopeful thing in TBP for me right now is how Piddi is trying to get Ranveer to realise that Panchi and him have something more than just childhood friendship. Everything else is so boring and annoying.

Some may agree with me here and some may not. But I just wanted to get my points across here so that someone could maybe show this to the CVs or anyone related to the show and maybe, it can bring about the change that I so want to see in TBP. TBP is a really good show and I feel like if they refocus, they can get back to their glorious days. I'm just scared for the show now because neither is the storyline good nor is the new timing. 5.30 P.M is like the death sentence on Channel V, looking at past shows like HHL and Surveen Guggal who were pushed to that time. So, if things don't change soon, I fear TBP too will share the same fate as these shows which is something I so don't want.

P.S. I hope I did not hurt any fan bases' feeling here. I'm someone who loves TBP as a whole and so whatever critics I've written here is so that all the characters are able to shine in the show together.

Every word in this post is extremely logical & sensible! You have nothing to be worried about!
Like you said...TBP has been straying majorly from its original track, as in the beginning of Season 2. KiSha ka toh...I don't even know what to say. They are my biggest love on the show, & in all honesty, ever since the Buddies patched up the FIRST time, after the farewell incident, last season, they have had no really good solid track of their own. Yes...there have been some good moments, & short 2-3 day tracks, like their stint during elections...& their brief differences in opinions, but unfortunately, they always end in a nice, big "jadoo ki jhappi" in two days, & the same cycle repeats 😳
Buddies toh at one point had become almost non existent, but thankfully, CVs pulled up their socks & rectified that to some extent. I do miss the magical non canon sequences though <3
The BIGGEST mistake however is the sidelining of Jaitley. The Buddies may be the heart of the show...but Jaitley is the backbone. The show is about the journey taken undertaken by the Buddies together, since the first time they get together in school, & JJ is an integral part of this journey...their mentor. Without him, & the JJ/Buddies centric track...something always feels missing. The show CANNOT thrive on KiSha's constant repetitive push & pull, Piddi's equally repetitive shenangians & Rukmini/RaHi's repetitive sequences :|
Basically...the show needs as a whole in my opinion needs fixing from every direction. As far as the new writers are concerned...I am afraid that I cannot claim to have been very impressed by the recent months. Except the election track of course, which was truly EXCEPTIONAL.
I am EXTREMELY glad that Anand Sir is back. With him...I have high hopes that the show's air of unconventionality & uniqueness will be back. A necessity, esp at this point, wherein Channel V is rolling out promising new shows, D3 fans have gained a new high & CV team & TBP has been pushed back into an extremely inconvenient time slot 😳. I really really hope that TBP can pull up in this crucial stage. I love it too much to watch it crumble

this is why I need your presence more in the forum OTM VP πŸ˜†

TM - you didn't offend anyone because what you said here is something we all felt and went through. I can basically pin point where all things went downhill aka the first Mega Episode. From there on, I remember the graph going down and down and down into major pits. that's how bad the show had gotten. the characters were all so OOC is random, the tracks were meaningless and like Shazzy said, the BUDDIES which make the show were non-existent. It took the writers months to keep things back on track just when they were on the verge of losing all kinds of loyalty - the election track. that personally compelled me to give this show another chance. it was the echo of what I loved everything about the show. Since they did try their best and recently...things have been good.

But then again, The Buddy Project isn't complete without the one who planned the Project in the first place. I know Manav Sir is busy is with his other show but goodness! He needs to be back. I can see that they are using Dean is a sort of replacement for him because JJ mostly had scenes with Piddi and now Piddi has found Dean in the shape of his mentor or whatever but that spark with JJ has, no one else can. the past months ruined so many things. the potential of Chillars and Dhakkans, the still remaining conflict between the Buddies, the exploration of various romantic angles...it STILL isn't too late. Which is why I am putting so many expectations from Anand Sir's return. That man made the show what it is. He knows the characters inside out and he tells the story so beautifully that nothing feels wasted. Fingers crossed. In Sha Allah we will get our TBP back before this year is over.

Agree completely here!
I knew I missed out something! The Cs VS Ds & the new characters. I was actually pretty dissapointed with the way the quite promising new characters all fizzled & what they have been reduced to. Omi & Avi always had great potential, with their slightly grey characters, Avantika with her wild streak & Rukmini with her subtly different small town girl character (sans the hindi-eng preaching) could have been developed well.
I personally feel they can still be saved...except Avantika who I doubt is coming back. Too many things are messed up & tangled, & all I ask is that they slowly & gradually be cleared, one at a time & OUR TBP be restored to its former glory. Badle mein...TBP fans are always ready to be patient :P

they didn't use JeeMi to their full potential!! Goodness! My precious JeeMiChi triangle!! 😭 yaar Shazzy! What a effin' amazing track that was!! Aur kya kabara hogaya! they made me hate Avi!! I always wanted to see failed relationships being shown on TBP but ViChi was effin' MURDERED!!!

And Omi, the toffee guy, is gayab!

Avantika turned into meh so meh...

Rukmini tou..could've been so much better..

So forget the girls...I need Omi and Avi back! c'mon! that is still not a lost track! I hope Anand Sir brings them back to their full potential..these guys are GOOD! I don't need their romantic angles or whatever! Just GAWD! College politics! Two groups! the fights and the intensity! This still hurts me ke what started SO WELL in the first epi of S2...became a kabara!

Mera AviCry Kuch bhi ho...I can never forgive CVs for THAT ghapla!!!! Pure character ki chopsey kar di. Good...I remember that scene, where RanSh told JeeMi that they didn't want to fight & so were backing out of JJ'c competition, & JeeMi were trying to manipulate them into going. My...they both had such excellet grey shades to be explored. And Avi had SO MANY layers, which Manish would have pulled off with utmost perfection!
And God VICHI!!! Ugh...CHEATING!!! Of all the things they could have done, they go for making the best S2 character a JERK!!!! W*F!!!! That made me so MAD!!! Sometimes couples just...fall apart. They could have show their break up in a very real, non dramatic way, but GOD...they just completely messed it, & Avi up!
Omi is Mr India from god knows when. MiChi...first episode mein hi they had so much sparkCry

Exactly yaar!!!!! What was the freaking point? There were a 100 ways to show ViChi break up without compromising Avi, & Omi toh...god only knows where he is! All that potential...wasted.
I just remembered one very lengthy discussion which we had regarding JeeMi on an OS of yours I think. Kya kya sicha tha😭

while I am happy ViChi was ended to make way for RaHi but the JeeMiChi triangle was something I hadn't had enough of. I sooo wanted a more push and pull fight with these guys and that being the ultimate reason for the break up cuz Panchi isn't the kind to enjoy such political atmosphere in any of her relationship..

JeeMi were...so good. so so sooo good! and now they are history...the kind you remember with fondness and then be sad at their distressing end..
