After almost 4 months, it was time to find out the winner of India's Dancing Superstar. Star Plus had started this show with an objective of bringing together talent from all over India on one platform. And the best part of this show was that there was no limit on age and dance style and it invited dance talent across all age groups in the country.
The Winner of IDS was chosen on the basis of votes by people of India. And to make the occasion even more special the cast of the upcoming movie Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai Dobara actor "Akshay Kumar" and actress "Sonakshi" were present.
Well, there was no doubt that there would be a tough competition between the 5 finalists.India's Dancing Superstar Grand Finale, which was held on 3rd August prove this right. MJ 5, Akshay Pal, Loyala Group, Padmini & Debasish, Palden & Khyati were all eyeing the IDS trophy. Right till the final episode there were some breathtaking performances by all five contestants. Power packed dance performances ranging from Moonwalk, Ariel Acts and Stunts were the highlight of the show.
It was also a tough time for the three judges – Ashley Lobo, Geeta Kapur and Riteish Deshmukh, as they have been part of the show since day 1. And now was the time to crown the winner. There can only be one winner, but seeing at the performances, it was almost impossible to declare a winner. But as the format of the show, they had to leave the decision in the hands of the audiences, via voting method.
The Grand Finale had some amazing performances by the judges too. Geeta Kapur, Ashley Lobo and Riteish Deshmukh also took to the stage for the Grand finale. MJ 5's had impressed the audience by their signature MJ moves, Loyola Dream Team staged an action-packed performance, whereas Akshay Pal's act was dedicated to the IDS Studio. Padmini-Debashish used gym balls as their prop and Palden-Khyati performed stunning aerial lifts and stunts. After all of this amazing performance at the IDS studios, it was time for the moment of truth. Time to declare the winner of IDS.
The group MJ-5 (Michael Jackson 5) from Delhi was eventually declared the winner. This group included Karthik, Shraey Khanna, Rohit Singh, Himanshu Gola and Vishnu Sharma. They not only got the IDS trophy but also received 50 lakhs. 2nd Position was bagged by Akshay Pal, 3rd Position – Padmini & Debasish, 4th Position- Loyola Dream Team and the 5th Position – Palden & Khyati. All the 4 finalist did her gift from KITKAT and Gold Coins.
